It is! I do it all the time. Go to the download window and set a speed limit.

I had a similar problem in the past running it under OS X. The program would run a massive number of threads for no apparent reason. Their response was it wasn't their fault "Apple decided to do things differently", even though Java is cross-platform.

I haven't re-installed it since I got a new computer.

The way they kept their repositories was very poor. If the latest version broke something, there was no way to simply download the previous version. If I recall, there was also no way to update the filehost profiles separate from the program itself.

So I'm guessing an update from the last week or so is causing a problem. If you have a back-up of an earlier version, I would try that.

JDownloader has its own forum, so you can see people if people running the same operating system are having the same problem.

So, I'm going to change the min/max save delay and see if that at least slows it down enough that I can get some idea what's causing the increase in my download list.

Hello...for about week now - whenever I try downloading a music video from Youtube - JDownloader will not download it with a "Invalid Download" error message. I have the latest & updated version. I've even tried videos that I have previously downloaded - they always fail.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

I just put a video in the queue and it downloaded/demuxed/converted just fine.
Maybe you need to do a fresh re-installation but make sure you get the legit program because there are fakes out there.

Simple rule to puts all media in the same package which has the name of the account.
Packagizer--> Add New Rule
At Sourceurls(s) paste: contains: twitter.com/*/status/

then set > Package Name: <jd:source:1>
