Lemons on sandwiches?
Today I discovered that using lemon slices on sandwiches is quite popular around the world. I never heard of such a thing but supposedly grilled cheese sandwiches with thinly sliced lemons in them are popular as are cucumber and lemon slices in a sandwich with creamed cheese. Aside from Lemonade or lemon flavored candy I never knew people actually use lemons for other things?

Lemons are used as an important ingredient on Avocado sandwiches, and many other.
No big deal.

Just reading the title of the post caused a reaction for me, as if I had just put a big cut lemon slice in my mouth. I actually feel like making that face. I can't imagine putting lemon on a sandwich. Not a lemon fan.

Lemon sorbet is a very good sugary tasty digestive, much like Lemoncello.....but without the alcohol.
Here in Sicily we always have it after a huge meal, specially in Summer. I also like lemon cakes, candies and chewing gums. I never tried it on a sandwich. But whenever I eat a shrimp salad with avocado I always put a few drops of fresh local lemon juice in it.
