How to download rar files?

I was looking at the NTB thread with many links to files with .rar extension.

On iPhone and PC, clicking them takes me to a blank error type screen. I tried searching the file names in rapidgator and google and nothing useful happened.

I’m willing to buy a download plan or something if needed, but right now I’m stumped.

On a PC, if you don't have a download manager, or, a program like WinRar or 7-Zip installed, you can right-click and "save as". Once saved, you'd need one of the aforementioned programs to "un-zip" the file.

Don't know about iPhone specifically, but I would guess Android's Download Manager would download it without issue. As above, you'd need appropriate software to un-zip the file in question.

Just in case you're unfamiliar...

.rar (or .zip) files are files with compressed items in it. Think of it as a zippered pouch... it downloads like any other file, but once downloaded, it needs software to "unzip" it, and open its contents.

There are several kinds of software (mostly freeware) available to unzip those files, with WinRar and 7-Zip being two of the more popular.
