Hard Drive question
I have a new computer on the way and I have removed the 120 gig hd that was in my old computer. I am using this hd for pics, movies, and music only. I am going to put the 120 gig hd in a external enclosure and use it with my new computer. My question is, in my old computer I was using it as a second hd set in the slave position. Since it will be used as an external hd now, do I need to set it as a master? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

I have 7 USB drives and they are all set as master only (master with no slave).
I don't know if all brands are the same but all the ones i have say to set to master or master with no slave. If you bought a new external enclosure it should have instructions telling what to set your jumpers to. |

The chipset used in almost all USB enclosures requires that the drive be set as master.
