Setting Desktop Background
Hey everyone,
I am trying to change my desktop background with an image I found online. I have done this before (on a different computer) with no problem...but my new computer won't allow me to do so. I have tried right clicking on the image and choosing the "set as desktop background" option, but it says an internal error has occured and the image cannot be used. I've also tried using the control panel function to do it, but nothing happens after I click "apply". I've even tried different images, but still have the same issues. Any suggestions? Or ideas of what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks! |

Might sound obvious, but try first saving the image to your PC.

Convert the image to bmp format and then select the image using the video properties (right click on desktop / choose properties / desktop tab).
Or if you have an nVidia chipset, the nVidia video tools should be able to set the desktop wallpaper regardless of the file format. |
