How to automatically check download links?

Hello guys, I just want to know how to check download links, I used to check links with a script on Greasemonkey called Cavern and War Links, but now it doesn't work. Thanks!

you can still use w.a.r., I make a new improved version of it but you have to use tampermonkey or violentmonkey instead of greasemonkey.

i have JDownloader monitoring the clipboard and it checks links, fwiw

it lets you know if they are valid or invalid with a small popup window

Yeah, I use Jdownloader too, but I think that it's better to see online links and offline in the web page.

Just be careful on some sites, like uploaded.net, i recently got a video from it which also gave me a very nice piece of malware that was detected and removed, i NEVER use that site but this certain video i wanted and i couldnt find it anywhere else, so just make sure to for 1- stay away from any sites thats not in english, and 2, try not to upload videos that are ONLY in rar. form.
The only site i ever use or trust is keep2share, its by far the best, no adware no viruses and pretty fast downloads, i think i've been using it since it was a website, rapidgator is okay to but i noticed their files take FOREVER to download, like the last file i tried to get i think said 7 plus hours? and the video was maybe 20 minutes long, so, thats my experience, and always make sure you scan the files just in case.

Malware in a file isn't a filehost issue. It's whomever uploaded the file.

And because of how filehosts use the file hash to compare files, putting them into an RAR file is an easy way to make your files unique and not hash the same as someone sharing the same file unzipped.

In other words, this isn't a file host issue nor a file type issue, it's an issue with the source of the files. IE: a malicious person sharing the file
