Thoughts on RAW

1.) So HHH vs. Curtis Axel, again? Strange, I guess HHH hates his own head. It must be his nose. Of course she's here for her hubby, saying that her "executive decision" is to nix the Hunter and Axel match. As an execetuive, as a wife, and she also said Axel's "beneath HHH." It was funny that Steph acted a bit like a heel, saying the fans shouldn't act so selfish. So true, a bunch of jackals. Interrupting her is Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Oh boy. He has a personal request, and that's not to boo Stephanie. They booed her. She's got feelings, you guys got to have some compassion. Booed. Vince said he and Steph care about HHH more than the fans. Booed. Hunter won't compete, booed again. What do the fans want? They chant HHH, Vince said they want his heart, liver, spine. A bunch of cannibals, that boo at the mention of WWE not being a "blood sport." He referenced Kofi Kingston getting powerbombed through a table by The Ryback, and the (Canadian) fans chanted for "one more time." Yep! Vince said the fans are beneath HHH, a bit too far according to Stephanie, but here comes The Shield! Oh, well as it turned out, Vince and Steph left the ring during the commercial break. I wanted to see them do a triple powerbomb on Vince and Stephanie, because I'm just like those blood thirsty fans that Vince criticized...

2.) Randall and Team Hell No vs. The Locusts of Law (I made that up). The match, yet again, The Shield wins. Yet again, it's a great match. Yet again, it featured Team Hell No. There's some magic in this, and a lot of it was shown here in the form of Daniel Bryan. Once he got that hot tag, it was very reminiscent of this past SmackDown. Only difference is that it was in an official match. Damn, he beat down all members of the Shield, the fans were so into it, it was awesome. Unfortunately, like all trains, it all had to stop. It stopped in the form of The Shield stopping Ambrose from getting made to submit. With that, came Kane and Randall trying to even the odds. Bad deal for Bryan, because Randall was shoved right into D-Bryan. Bryan got pinned again, and he's not happy. Who to blame? Watch it be Randall, and hopefully they get a match out of that.

3.) Speaking of which, Daniel Bryan, after the commercial break, is angry at Randall. He wanted an apology from Randall, and he didn't really say that. Bryan now thinks Randall joins Kane in thinking Bryan is the weak link. Kane said Bryan lost touch with reality. Randall said one match. Bryan though said that one match could've solidified that Bryan is not the weak link, that he deserves respect! I respect the guy, and I even respect his decision to want to pull double duty! That's right. He wants a match with someone to beat into respect. A new shirt should come out of this. Daniel Bryan one, saying "I am not the weak link!" Bryan's the new king of catchphrases dammit.

4.) Triple H came into the office, Steph referred to Hunter as "Paul." Yeah, but HHH wants a match with Axel. Wife and father in law can't tell him what to do. Who is going to stop HHH? Oh I don't know, Vince told Hunter not to do something he's going to regret. That sounds rather familiar. If I didn't know better, something Shawn Michaels told HHH last year.

5.) So The Usos are sporting a paint job on their face, I guess it's supposed to be more into their roots. I didn't pay attention to Cole's explanation. So Usos won. Commentary said it was a big win, over the Primetime Players. I have my doubts on it actually being a big win, the past convinces me. It was a solid tag team match, so who knows? I guess facepaint equal a push? I won't hold my breath.

6.) They showed athletes competing in next year's USA Special Olympics games. Sweet. What wasn't sweet though, is for the fifth, infernal time in 2 weeks, is Alberto Del Rio and Big E. Langston. You see signs saying "Save us Punk," when there should be a "Save us Ziggler," simply for the fact that he'd stop all this. I never caught Langston's weight, so I find out here that he weighs 280 pounds. That could be just a billed weight, but that's pretty scary. Well anyways, AJ didn't even get involved in this match. The match was just the same as there other matches, only difference is the finish. Del Rio slapped on the cross armbreaker for the second time, and when Langston was not going to tap, he improvised and basically turned his submission move, into a pinning combination. It was pretty good, Langston was caught off guard and lost. AJ was not happy,neither was I. During the match, there was a WWE App thing with Zeb Colter, no Jack Swagger. Hmmm.

7.) Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes. Damien Sandow joins commentary, and showed that he's reading a book. "Fate of the States" which was written by JBL's wife! Meredith Whitney, it's supposed to be released today. Wow, good plug. Sigh, Sheamus and Cody Rhodes. Rhodes loses again to a big star in Sheamus. Hey, he had some offense. Hey, he wasn't squashed and the match was not short. Hey though, it still didn't feel any fresh or exciting. Just average, passable stuff. Sandow's commentary was more interesting. After Sheamus won, he tried to shake hands with Sandow, but the intellectual savior had none of it. He got slapped silly as a result.

8.) You guys can't wait for my "Thoughts on Total Divas," right? Yeah, keep waiting, there was an ad for that. Bellas claim that this job with WWE is their "calling." Well, modeling is, but shhhh, they don't want you to hear that. Anyways, after that is HHH leaving the arena, angry. He left for Steph, and because it would prevent him from wanting to kick Vince's ass. You son of a bitch! You'd beat an old man? Hehehe, but he said next week, he's going to wrestle Curtis Axel. Okie dokie.

9.) Fuck you Ryback, don't call Daniel Bryan a little puke. He said his vomit is bigger than Daniel Bryan. Man, teach this sucker a lesson, Bryan. The Ryback called Daniel Bryan the weak link, and a match is on between these two. Goodness, I now HATE The Ryback .

10.) Curtis Axel and Heyman meeting with Vince McMahon. Vince put Axel over, Heyman was sort of ignored in that. So Axel got booked in a match, against Cena, again. This time, no disqualification. Ohhhhhhhh man.

11.) MMM! Summer makes me feel hot. Shit. JBL never remembers that Cole is undefeated at Wrestlemania, and that he beat Lawler. So it was Khali vs. Fandango. That match was boring, Khali had the advantage, no hope for entertainment. Fandango bailed on the match, and standing on stage behind him was The Miz. He didn't want Fandango to escape, but Wade Barrett let it be. As in, he came from behind and knocked Miz out with the Bullhammer. Fandango leaves, will Miz compete in his scheduled match with Barrett?

12.) Yeah he did, after the commercial break. It wasn't long. Barrett had the advantage coming from the break, but Miz was in control for the most part of the on air time. However, Wade created an opening, and was about to capitalize on a win. However, Fandango returns! He and Summer danced on the stage, distracting Barrett long enough for Miz to take him down and use the Figure 4 Leg Lock. Wade lost, this three way feud continues. Cool, I think this is where Fandango wins the Intercontinental title. Or, they can prolong that, and have Miz win, then Fandango beat Miz for the title. Either way, expect Stone Cold's prediction on Fandango winning that title in 6 months, to be met.

13.) You know, Paul Heyman doesn't have a theme song, still, after being back for a year now. Anyways him and Jericho are in for the contract signing, with Jerry Lawler hosting the thing. Heyman said Jericho's going to step into the ring with the best in the world, the longest reigning WWE...Jericho finished that in his own way. He wants the contract signed, Heyman better deliver. Heyman signed the contract, said it's signed, sealed, and delivered. Jericho gets the contract, and Heyman talked more of a big game to Jericho. Yeah, it's going to be in Chicago, Punk's hometown, where Jericho will get booed and jeered. A lot of words to say all that, but Jericho tried to negotiate. SummerSlam? Heyman said no. Madison Square Garden? No. How about in Hartford, Connecticut, here. Nope! Jericho signs the contract, but where will that go. To Heyman's lawyers, Jericho's? WWE Headquarters? Jericho walked to Heyman and told him to stand up, and unbutton his jacket! Whoa now! He does, and he puts the contract down Heyman's pants. Ewwwww-kay. Anyways, yeah, it's official. Punk vs. Jericho. Still, where is CM Punk to comment on this? The plot thickens. Great segment, these two work well together. Now just imagine if Punk is in this. Give them 10 minutes, and it will rock the house.

14.) The Bellas and AJ team up against Kaitlyn and the Funkadactyls. So if you remember, because commentary doesn't remember, the Bellas bailed on AJ Lee a couple weeks ago. That made me irritated, but what made me rather happy, is AJ bailing on the Bellas. Commentary though thought it was her being crazy, or method to her madness. Stuff like that, which is wrong. It's, pardon the word...PAYBACK! Haha! Payback's a bitch. Actually, payback is two bitches, and they're twins.

15.) Kane and Bryan backstage. Kane gave huge praise for Daniel Bryan, saying in all his time in WWE, he never saw a guy with as much heart as Daniel Bryan. So awesome, but D-Bryan does not believe him. In fact, he said Kane should leave him alone tonight. Kane knows he can't convince Bryan, so he said he will just leave the building. Call Kane when Bryan finds his mind, because he obviously lost it. Good one, but Daniel Bryan is smarter than the average goat...

16.) Another Bray Wyatt vignette. They're coming, and I think the fans saw it, because after that aired, you can hear them applauding. They should, there's going to be some crazy moments approaching WWE when Wyatt, Harper, and Rowan make it to the main roster.

17.) This match most definitely had a clash of two different stories. There's The Ryback's domination through the use of a table, his focus on John Cena, the aura presented from riding in an ambulance. The other story is Daniel Bryan trying so hard to prove he is not the weak link, developing what JBL perfectly said as an inferiority complex. It was a clash on whose story mattered more. Because it's that story, that would feature the main character winning. Before that happen, one is treated to an awesome TV match that just, yet again, shows what Bryan's potential as a man on the top of the card, can do. Once again, The Ryback has a great match, with Daniel Bryan. It's becoming clear that Skippy Sheffield should get down on his hands and knees, and praise his superior, Bryan. Bryan made The Ryback look good, and the strange part is just how the man is at his most dominated and down, when it comes to Bryan. It's the cunning and submission prowess of his opponent, as The Ryback at many points in the early part of the match, could not find the time and day to get out of Bryan's claws. Things warmed up when The Ryback was well into him being on top of Bryan. Bryan would light that crowd up, get them on their feet, and made Lawler ask a question. Before that though, here's a tremendous diving headbutt where Bryan literally flew across the 20x20 ring in order to hit The Ryback. When this didn't work, Bryan slapped on the No Lock, and now to Lawler's question. What if The Ryback tapped? He said that the fans would blow the roof off this place. JBL though said that they already are. Yes, they were loud and giving this match better spotlight than imagined at first. So if The Ryback tapped, shit that would be historic. However, things winded down, as The Ryback reached the ropes, and Bryan launched himself suicide dive style, only to get sidestepped and collide with the announce table. The Ryback took advantage, but rather than beat Bryan, they made a great compromise between both guys. Enter the table. Continuing The Ryback's story without hurting Daniel Bryan...by hurting Daniel Bryan. Yeah, a powerbomb through the table, The Ryback is disqualified. So The Ryback looked very strong here. This is something that you can't do by just having him toss Zack Ryder around. The Kofi Kingston angle helped, for sure. This though helped even more. It brought out the beast in The Ryback everyone knows about, but in a way where he didn't leave a sour taste in, at least, my own mouth. Thank the wrestling gods for Daniel Bryan, I think The Ryback found his best dancing partner. It's not John Cena...

18.) Who by the way, came after the match as The Ryback was thinking for another table spot for poor Daniel Bryan. Not tonight, Mr. Neanderthal. Cena came, stared down The Ryback with his WWE championship title cocked and loaded to strike the man. However, The Ryback does not get into the ring, and Curtis Axel comes out. The main event is next. So back to the match, Daniel Bryan stole the show. Twice. His performance here, and in the Shield 6 man. Yes, he stole the show. Eh, JBL says call the sheriff. Yeah, he mentioned it for Jericho vs. Punk, but the sheriff has to get his lazy ass to Hartford, because this particular show was stolen.

19.) So this has to be the first ever No DQ match where the ref actually did the ten count. That's right, and it was prescient when the ref did it the first time when Cena ran to the turnbuckle, head first colliding with the chair set up. The match was definitely better than last week. No rest hold Axel, no fight that broke out in the crowd. The chair was the weapon of choice in this match, as there was shots to the back, from both men, Axel's spinning neckbreaker finisher was done on a chair, Cena of course kicked out. They couldn't even touch Bryan's match before this. Oh and Cena did a dropkick onto the chair, hitting Axel's face. One thing to mention is vintage Cole botching. Curtis "Angle." That's right, you gotta love it! Anyways, Heyman took advantage of No DQ and got involved a lot. Apparently though, when he handed the tablet PC to Axel, it's supposed to be some sort of weapon that stopped Cena's use of the STF. It's a tablet! Not a chair. Well that neutralized Cena, but soon after Cena had Axel primed for the AA, on the outside. Heyman begged for Cena to not do that, as a table was set up against the barricade, since The Ryback set it up for Bryan earlier on. Heyman's cries for mercy was met with him getting threatened by Cena. Cena though got hit by Axel, but came back, and all this while the ref is counting. The Ryback comes in, lifts Cena up and drives him through the table. Axel's in the ring, Cena can't wake up, he loses again by countout. Axel's strangely perfect streak continues. Good for all parties involved, but again, the show was stolen.

I have been feeling rather negative vibe from people who watched this weeks Raw but I thought it was rather good.

What i'm not liking is Kane being the wise man. I mean, come on.. who is buying a scary guy in a mask giving out advice.

Daniel Bryan needs Bret in his corner everyweek to help push him after Payback to beat everyone and become the new longest reigning champ of the modern era. We've seen it all before with Cena.. champion, struggle but win anyway, get ass booed out the building.

I can't see where the Wyatt are going to fit in. Presumably they will be the redneck Shield. I don't want Husky doing all the matches while the goatfaces stand at ringside tripping people up and scaring little kids. The only other 'faction' is 3MB. Hunico made a faction for like a week.. he is apparantly back so why not get him with Primo and Epico and do a uh.. WWE don't like gang.. um.. a yea, whatever other word there is for gang faction theme but PG style, i'm sure it could work. Factions were a huge part of the early attitude era.
