Great thread babe.
 I love drums but can't play them to save my life which is a shame because the house kit in my studio was gifted to my William in 2015 by a drummer some might have heard of named Neil Peart. They were friends for years. William provided software for RUSH to remaster Working Man some years ago... Drummers are usually the black sheep of the family in bands the same way that goalies are in hockey. Totally necessary but weirdos lol. |

These are some real sick-ass drumming skills  The original drums for this song were created by Reznor on his computer, and are definitely hard to recreate live, but......this guy literally got them right and in perfect sync.

Think of the drummers that had to follow Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, others that had guitar players that would take solos to another level.Those drummers kept the beat going.

John "Bonzo" Bonham Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (full set - Live) here is an interesting documentary about him. What Makes John Bonham Such a Good Drummer ?

Back in the old days, drummers were just ... bongo-boys.
Then around the 1930s they began taking center stage. Here are some of the pioneers... Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton & Gus Johnson Classic Jazz Drummers

I discovered this site, Drumeo, last week and I love it!
This is spectacular, Michael Jackson's drummer for over 30 years, Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett plays quite a few Jackson hits live: Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Beat it..... Drum experts call this live drum cover of Jackson's Smooth Criminal a "master class" performance on drums; 50+ million views as well. Personally I think all of his Jackson drum covers are phenomenal, incredible. He is playing these live without a drum track, his timing is perfect in every video.
