Anyone else having problems with windows 10?
It seems that the "micro" morons never fix anything unless millions of people complain.
I bought windows 10 and the scroll bar keeps shooting back up to the top when the mouse comes off it. Shouldn't it just stay where it is? I now use the scroll wheel because I am so tired of trying to adjust to "microshit's" f**kups. For the last 3 or 4 OS systems from them ~ every time you have to delete a lot of files or pictures ~ you hold down "control" and then start clicking what you want to delete and if you go too fast ~ it makes "copies" of everything you want to delete. It's really fast also ~ they seem to make mistakes really quickly. Copy & paste has been screwed up on every OS I have ever used from these amazing IT nitwits. I don't believe they test much before they release a new version, because a great deal of it is pure crap. There's more ~ I'm just tired of thinking about it. |

I find it absurd that Micro$oft actually charges its user base for updates when MAC and Linux users don't have to pay a single cent.
The fact that their updates result in an actual loss off functionality makes the issue even more poignant.

Think you've got that wrong - you don't pay for updates for any Windows OS. If you want to upgrade e.g. Win 7 to Win 10 then you pay for a new OS.

"CBS.Log" file completely fills the "C" Drive overnight (not the best thing to have happen to an SSD). I don't know what caused it, and judging by the fact that everything that Microsoft have suggested except for "re-install Windows 10 from the online fully updated .iso file" didn't fix it (which I'm refusing to do) - I'm not sure Microsoft do either. I just got to the point where I'd bought a new USB stick to install the .iso file and the issue has stopped (at least for the moment).

Windows updates have always been free. Now, upgrades on the other hand do cost. However, Microsoft did give out Windows 10 upgrades for free for about a year.

Windows 7 came "free" with my ultrabook when I bought it. Windows 8, released in 2012 - £15 (as an upgrade). Windows 8.1 released in 2013 -Free upgrade from 8.0 Windows 10, released in 2015 - Free upgrade from Windows 7 onwards until 31st December 2017. £15, Not exactly what I would call a massive outlay over the last 9 years. In that time MAC have gone through: Mac OS X Snow Leopard – version 10.6, released in 2009 Mac OS X Lion – version 10.7, released in 2011 $30 OS X Mountain Lion – version 10.8, released in 2012 $20 OS X Mavericks – version 10.9, released in 2013 Free OS X Yosemite – version 10.10, released in 2014 Free OS X El Capitan – version 10.11, released in 2015 Free macOS Sierra – version 10.12, released in 2016 Free macOS High Sierra – version 10.13, released in 2017 Free $50 not exactly a high outlay either (couldn't find UK Prices) It only really costs money to buy Windows if you are building your own PC from scratch, otherwise it's part of the build cost of a new PC, just as macOS is part of the build cost of a mac. The thing is Alexora, I actually like Macs, I have an iPad 4, my wife has an iPhone SE, but I've never bought a Macbook, or a Mac desktop, and I probably never will. I've come close a few times, but every time so far, that I have compared the price and specification of a custom build PC to an iMac, the iMac loses.

How much does it cost to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro, or Enterprise?
MAC OS comes in a single version: no stripped down versions...

you can find other stuff on there at similar prices, like MS Office, Win XP, probably Win 8 and 10 also it seems like microsoft is moving to a system where they make money by spying on you and profiling you - as in Win 10, so they're not really too concerned about quality or pleasing the customer any more |
