FileFactory Issues

Have filefactory's speeds completely fallen off a cliff? Went from 200-1000KB/s on a free registered account to sub 30KB/s speeds now.

I have gotten tired of complaining about filehosts as I have just accepted that the days of reasonable free downloads are quietly and quickly coming to an end.

I didn't say anything but that's the speed I am getting now as well. Absurd. Pointless really.

Don't know about a free registered account but I gave up on them as a free (un-registered) user a couple of years ago when I regularly got speeds 50kbs or less. Was a premium user once upon a time and they were pretty good for about a year but then went downhill so I ditched them.

Fortunately, around the same time, the number of filefactory links were declining on here too (maybe the uploaders weren't getting the best service either) so it made sense for me to switch my premium account to another filehost.

These days when I come across a filefactory link the file is usually mirrored on another faster host so I have no need to use them. Even when filefactory is the only live link left I prefer to periodically search here or elsewhere for a new link. Unless it's a very old or rare file I find it often turns up again on another filehost at some point in the future. I can't be bothered to wait 8-12 hours for a large-ish file to download, with a corresponding high chance of failure.

Out of interest decided to download a small filefactory file from a link on a thread on here and it's averaging 50kbs

Not logged in I get just 50kbs, logged in and downloading one of my own uploads I get 800 to 1,000. Dito for stuff from other when I'm logged in.

It seems that FF is once again cutting download speeds for free users.

I say again because they have done so in the past. Several years ago they were one of the better file hosts, offering fast speeds and reasonable wait times between downloads. Then, all of a sudden, they drastically reduced download speeds to 50kbs. It remained that way for a few years until last year they once again began offering a higher download speed. Now they have reverted to a lower speed of around 100kbs.

Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

FYI, they recently once again increased the download speed to around 1 MB/s for free registered users.

maybe my jd isn't configured properly but i get just under 100kb/s with ff in free mode. also not resumable.

They reduced the download speed AGAIN. This back and forth shit is LAME.

I havent been able to DL from filefactory for a while.
When I click on a link all I get is "filefactory.com reject the connection"
I think maybe its because I used jdownloader DL manager but using the browser its the same

Any thought ?
