Man, someone ought to write a book about the rise and fall of file hosts over the years.
Clicknupload has become an omnipresent host. First encountered them in 2016/17 maybe. They really are everywhere, like ul.to used to be, but isn't anymore. Mostly super fast and no captchas. The Malwarebytes issue might be some sort of false positive and in any way can be avoided by using a download manager, like Jd2, not!?
Aren't all hosters kinda shady!? Trying to understand why the pitchforks are always
so quick to be drawn when this hoster in particular is mentioned.

The high speed and lack of captchas are definite pros.

The cons however are the barrage of browser redirections, notifications and pop-ups; which is why people are so weary of it. These are the well known methods of shady enterprises.

The implementation of malware is the obvious objective imo.

Chrome now blocks and tries to dissuade you from visiting ClicknUpload. So does Panda AV.

They both say that the threat from malware is high.

It's very scammy. Super fast though I'm sure we're paying for it somehow.Thank God for Popup blockers because pretty sure this site was created in the Kremlin or Beijing

Has ClicknUpload throttled their speeds lately? I used to get very fast download speeds from them, but the past couple of days I've only been getting around 100-150 kbs. Anyone else experiencing this?
