The problem with that is it's indirectly been a WWE strategy for a while now and it leads you to having older stars and nobody young to take over. And while it worked with getting people back from Dixie-led TNA, I'm not as sure it'll happen with people leaving AEW and if we look only at the ex-WWE you have at least a couple acts(Mox and FTR) saying they left for non-monetary reasons.

Sure all different reasons but not everyone will be happy with all the releases coming in with three more on the way, well, two quit and one release. Has somebody made a list of them all, I've lost track. I think Luchasaurus might leave. He's overshadowed by Meltzer fav Jungle who thinks girls are swooning over him every week, not so sure about that. I don't see them giving him a singles run. He's better and more over than the comparable Archer IMO yet Archer is higher on the card.

According to Dave Johnson at pwinsider.com, there has been lots of talk internally of major changes for the NXT brand including a new logo, new lighting, a focus on younger talents and a different format to the TV shows. This housecleaning tonight appears to be part of those changes.

Really can't get too excited about NXT talent being released. NXT is supposed to be a training ground so at some point they should either be promoted to the main roster or let go. Now, this is where ROH, Impact and the rest should be looking since WWE is known for giving up on people they shouldn't have.

Anyone hear Adam Cole had talks with Vince. He'll definitely stay. He's said on podcasts before he's a massive WWE mark like Ricochet is.

If the Adam Cole situation is in a vacuum, I think he stays. His favorite wrestler is HBK, who he's working with everyday.

The problem is that it appears NXT is changing and he doesn't really fit into the reported new version. So then if he stays he's going to Raw/SD and I'd have ZERO faith in getting a fair shot there given past history.

I've been thinking this for a while, but it appears the worst thing to be in WWE is a former NXT Champion. The hit rate on those guys becoming true WWE stars is bad; it's arguably just Seth and Big E with Owens, Balor, Drew as borderlines. And looking it up, that probably extends to the NXT Women and Tag champs as well.

Anybody else annoyed by the Alex Bliss vs Dewdrop match from Raw last night and again let down by the Adam Cole/Kyle O'Reilly match promo thing from NXT tonight? That match set-up promo thing just felt clunky from how Kyle stumbling over lines here and there, and Adam mentioning 13 YEARS over and over again.
