Downloading Songs/Video From Youtube To Laptop/IPhone??

I have a main laptop and a chromebook. Chromebook is for web browsing and sites like this and downloading porn.


My main laptop, i use it for everything else. The thing is back then i would download songs and videos from youtube using that ytd video downloader... but last time i tried to do this... it did not work. I would save these songs and videos on my main computer and would also transfer these songs/videos to my iphone to listen using itunes.


But for some reason, ytd doesn't seem to work when i copy link to download from youtube to it. Can someone tell me why this doesn't work? Do i need to download or upgrade it? I assume its still free to do this right as i assume most ppl who put songs on their iphone do that?

i use 3DYD - free, portable, has all kinds of options, convert to other audio or video formats, download just the audio from a YouTube video file, etc

just paste the link or use the search function

no adware, no malware or any other BS

I use 4K Video Downloader (4KDownload)
Has plenty of nice features, and it's cross-platform, too (Mac & PC).
You should definitely give that one a try.
It's a very great complete program.

returned 1/70 at Virus Total, a McAfee false positive

usually ESET will detect any adware

i've used 3DYD for several years now, don't even have to install it, runs portable, updated regularly.

Do you or anyone know why my youtube downloader does not work though? Is it because i need to download new version?

I wish I could help. I just had to post because I thought I was the only person that had 2 laptops, side by side, and the two do not visit the same sites, ever. I think it's a really good idea to do this. (I should note I actually have 3 laptops but one never goes online.)

I'm wondering kinda the same thing, what to use to rip music from Youtube in 320 and/or FLAC. I was using Vubey before, but it went dead back in July.

yeah, it gives you the choice to install it to the programs directory on your Windows drive, add shortcuts to desktop + start menu, maybe add some registry entries, or you can "install" it to some folder of your choice and everything including all settings are contained within that folder. That way you can just copy that folder to a USB drive or whatever and run from another computer etc.

i would try new version especially if its free

youtube makes small changes several times a year and a few days later 3DYD puts out an update because the program wasn't working correctly on some videos. Usually its not affecting all videos though

If you're talking about an extension or addon (for a browser) then good luck finding one that will last. I'd get one then it was only a matter of time until it no longer worked. I'm not smart enough to tell you why this happens, maybe Youtube puts some sort of block on it...idk. Just use the program SynchroDub mentions.
