Maybe CGI and deepfake can bring back some old PS. Studios would shoot a scene with a random actress and stick a former star on her face. Actress and star would get 50-50 $. There are a few stars I'd like to see in more scenes.

I agree. This is the next step in making CGI porn but even this is still below the "realism" that Polar Express had envisioned. It's a step forward but I wonder what that time line is before it before we get CGI that is somewhat undistinguishable from real footage. Is it months? Years?

We're years from approaching indistinguishable CGI. Video game companies are the main ones dragging us towards it and they're not going hard at it because most people don't have the equipment to render it in a game which is infinitely more demanding from a technical perspective than just a video. I'd say we are at least 5 years from it on computers and maybe 10 on consoles.

A big budget Hollywood picture could probably do it today, but it would be expensive and they wouldn't be able to use actors to sell tickets, so they're not really motivated to do it. Something like Avatar 2 is as close as they'll get and doing it as a hybrid just makes the small differences obvious.

I'd say VR porn will replace regular porn before CGI ever does.

There are maybe a handful of people making high end CGI material and those are usually short scenes with a lot of recycled parts, like Hentai Anime does. Unfortunately, like Anime, if you find the average female voice actor to be extremely unsexy, then you are out of luck unless they get voice dubs.

I mean stuff that makes what was posted in the OP's thread starter look extremely amateurish.

For cgi, of course you need talented individuals designing and animating the product, and just as is the case with live action crews, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Then this is overlayed by more realistic looking models using a deepfake like process.

Then they do a third pass to make it all look even more real and tweak the small mistakes that the second step of the process might have made.

Admittedly you need someone with enough nous to do these three steps. But that's just one person! Most live porn shoots will be paying more than one person. And just the porn starlet might be paid like 1500 dollars for a day's work. There is almost no chance you'd be paying this tech guy that kind of rate. I mean, sure, there are tech guys out there earning 35K a month easily, but those are not the types who would end up making CGI porn anyway, so...

Deep fakes of famous people will most likely end up with people being sued into oblivion.
