Don't ever think something is beyond your reach. Case in point: a recent thread by wildwest08 in another section his been getting a certain amount of attention after I ran it past the actress starring in the thread topic production on HBO. She was very excited even though this site barely has a pulse most days. The fact remains she was touched at the support.

I've since received a very interesting offer from Creative at HBO... again due to said actress who is also a friend.

I am fast realizing that the future is specialty television and not big screen films. Big stars are figuring it out as well and are turning down movie roles for series contracts... big money is being poured into this as well. Amazon's The Lord Of The Rings production alone is costing almost 500 million (465) and that's just season 1. That figure is a one off... the series required building expansive, elaborate sets and creating expensive costumes. The extra startup costs will be amortized over future seasons. Big money BUT the New Zealand Screen Production Grant is being increased from 20% to 25% ($116 million) to offset costs and boost tourism in the country.

Filming back-to-back is also a way to keep costs in line.

Again, never give up on your dreams. This is Sarah Catherine Hook, some might recognize her from the SodaStream commercials. She is adorable and perky. Not to mention she fills out a pair of jeans really really well.

She got a friendly "you need to take a look at her" string of emails sent on her behalf by an "anonymous" someone, that kick-started her career (having a good agent helps) and has done 8 productions since, including the new The Conjuring: the devil made me do it, also starring the yummy Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
