t0rr3nts dead at 99.x%
i have an ENORMOUS number of t0rr3nts in qbTor which go dead at 99.7~99.9%. i recall this happening once before a few years back, but i can't recall/find the reason or solution. iirc, it is not that the files are really partial or unseeded elsewhere; it is something like "log file didn't update properly" on my end.
performing "force recheck" on these files does NOT suddenly snap them to 100%. i have experienced that as well -- on rare occasion -- but not with this current batch. we're talking HUNDREDS of files, all pinned at 99.x% for months and months now. i tried dumping all the entries and letting them DL anew, and i tried reinstalling the client, but the result is still the same: more than half of all t0rr3nts i attempt go dead in the high 99's. perhaps related is the fact that on occasion doing a recheck on one of the files which actually IS at 100% (and under "completed") will suddenly drop it back down to 99.7%? again, making me think that the other 0.3% is some sort of bookkeeping data. how do i fix this?! |

i haven't torrented in years but i do recall bitcomet creates a file that may be a few kb that isn't recognized by other torrents. perhaps the uploader created the torrent using bitcomet and you're not. try opening the file. it may just work. if rar choose "keep broken files." if it unrars then it's good
