Ugh the Mass Mutual East Division sounds like a mouthful to say for my Flyers. Honda the best of all the names.

I'm sick of advertising. I'm convinced it only works on the weak-minded. Advertising has made it so I watch very little sports at all. I used to love hockey. I just can't do it any longer.

Do people really think that a team of pro athletes, that are individually making multiple millions a year, are all driving KIAs because it's, "The Official Car Of The Boston Bruins"!?! The season is shortened as well to 56 games from the normal 82. Each team will only play other teams in their own division as well. All Canadian teams make up the North.

I don't believe that this year the best team will win the Stanley Cup because of the realignment...

I cheer for Calgary and Edmonton so I have 2 chances. Sorry make that 1 unless my Flames quit sucking.

Speaking of money, during the WJC here in Edmonton last month the first 50/50 draw went from 5 million to over 20 million by game time. Some lucky fan took home a cool 10 mil. The other 10 million went to amateur sports. They have the draw each game...

Ads on division names, ads on helmets and soon ads will be plastered on the sacred sweaters as well. The ice has gotten out of hand too, four ads at center ice, ads behind the net on both sides plus the TV ads at the blue line and even on the glass.

I've been a lapsed NHL fan for probably the last 10 years(used to watch every game I could find on ESPN back in the 90s) and the only time I'll sit through a full game now is if my team is in a playoff game. I guess that's what modern sports has done to many of us.

Agreed. It's not like it use to be. They are trying to be more "family friendly".... Can we talk about the all-star game and all the shenanigans they tried.
