Top 10 Best Studio Ghibli Movies "This list countdowns the best movies by legendary Japanese animation creators, Studio Ghibli. With Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata in it's stable of directors, Ghibli has left an indelible mark on the world of Anime and animated films as a whole, even garnering the praise Pixar CCO John Lassiter and Walt Disney Pictures. Each Ghibli film is a gem in it's own right. But, with Ghibli's 31'st anniversary now in the books, what better time to reflect on the beautiful, haunting stories told to us by Miyazaki and his team? These are the Studio Ghibli masterpieces that touched us the most." .

Beyond Ghibli - A look at Japan's best anime directors "Studio Ghibli has a bit of a monopoly when it comes to anime in the west. This video series, Beyond Ghibli, takes a look at the best of the business outside of their bubble. In this video I take a look at the best directors in Japan, both living and dead, and my favourite films from their portfolios. (01:01) Mamoru Hosada and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (02:59) Tezuka, Rintaro and Metropolis (06:21) Makoto Shinkai and The Children Who Chase Lost Voices (10:12) Satoshi Kon and Tokyo Godfathers .

I really enjoyed The Animatrix.
Does Samurai Jack fall into this category? One night last year, AS played an entire season and I liked it a lot! I was visiting family who had satellite so I don't watch AS very often. I have not seen many anime movies outside of the Hentai realm.

Many thanks for those coming here, as we are huge fans of Japanese Anime and Manga
However, we're not experts on Japanese Anime and what is or isn't it, so please bear with us Re Samurai Jack, here is a post explaining whether it is or isnt anime http://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...s%20is%20anime and another post we're quoting on this - the comparison is perhaps a bit much Quote:
And thank you rbn for giving the link to Hentai here . |
