Also Walter Koenig makes quite a few appearances in B5 so far (only at the beginning of season 3). Koenig plays (no spoilers please) a Psi Cop in the series in a moderately villainous character who can read people's minds to detect guilt or innocence, among other things. Love to see him as someone not particularly likable. He's good in the role.

As a sci fi aside: I was a big fan of Lost in Space in the 70's and both Bill Mumy and June Lockhart, the "son and mother" stars of the show, also appear in B5.

I am also a huge fan of Babylon 5 and have all 5 seasons as well as the tv movies on dvd.

Yes many of the Trek alumni can be found in B5 including writer Harlan Ellison who wrote the Emmy award TOS episode “City on the Edge of Forever” which he later recalled hating! Ellison was credited as the technical consultant.

I bought the complete box set: all season's and the movies (wish it was on bluray). It is right now at episode 9 of season 3, martial law declared..... It is really getting good again after the great ending of season 2.

I won't say anything about B5 anymore; I have never seen it and know nothing about it except what I have watched so far....

I watch Yesterday's Enterprise episode. They should had made it 2 part and have more space battles.

I have been binging Star Trek the Next Generation complete series, on season 4 now. That actress that play Tasha Yar sure ruin her acting career when she quit the show mid first season. The Counselo doesn't do much outside of picking your brains. I think the show could go on without her. The Doctor, if I was on the Enterprise, I will be finding ways to be in sickbay every day. Why are there children on the Enterprise?

Enterprise-D was huge, with a crew compliment of well over 1000 (Sources state between 1000-6000 personnel, including civilians). It also wasn't intended to be a warship, it was intended primarily as a deep-space explorer. Denise Crosby got annoyed that she didn't get enough lines and things to do so she took a hike but regretted it years later and asked to part of the show in some way.

Gates McFadden left for only one season and thank God for that because most fans (myself included) could not stand Diana Muldaur's Dr. Pulaski character.

Whelp I just started watching Next Generation again on blu ray. They have the option to watch all of the promos before each episode. I just watched the promo before Encounter at Farpoint and am now watching Farpoint. It got me thinking that I was completely unaware of Next Generation, a new Star Trek, for some time. I really didn't watch many shows during their original runs and would instead watch when shows went to syndication on USA or TBS etc. There are very few shows I ever watched in their original time slot. (I watched Next Generation in later seasons in the 90's in its first run (if I remembered it was on)).

I never saw the promo for this pilot. Was it a big deal? I mean I am sure it was but I wasn't aware of it. Anybody see the pilot on the night it was broadcast; excited at the approaching premiere of a new Star Trek?

(I might have seen some eps in late 80s in original run)
