I try to use Jdowmload2 for takefile.link but it failed to download. I wonder if it is because my Jdownlaod2 version is too old? If so how do I update?

Are you sure the file was available when you added it to JD? Did you download too much from that server already?

To check for updates: Control + u. JD is pretty good about checking and auto-installing updates - unless you turned that off.

I've not used takefile. More likely an issue with takefile or captcha.

As noted above, unless you've changed the default setup, JD will auto update on its own.

Open JD and click the Settings tab, then click the Account Manager icon on the left panel (where you'd add a premium host). Then click the Add tab... enter the host name, or scroll down.

If Takefile is there, then there's a technical issue. If it isn't, JD doesn't support them.

(Psst... I checked. Takefile.link is on the list. If you have an account with them, you should probably add your username/password for easier downloading. And you might want to consider a JD browser add-on for the captchas.)

If all else fails, you can try to leave a post on the JDownloader support forum... I hear they're pretty good about fixing stuff in a timely manner.

It's not unusual for the occasional change on a site to break JD, and JD since the beginning of the year has not been updating at the rapid pace that it used to so you probably aren't behind on updates.
