Default Windows 10 home updates,

Hey all, could use some help/info,
Im using windows 10 home, which as i know, gives me very little to no control over the updates, im used to the 2nd tuesday of the month needing to restart my computer, my issue is the ' b' c and d updates, meaning the ones that are later in the month, they are normally NON security, and from what i read, dont require a immediate installation, meaning unless i actually click 'check for updates' they dont wont be installed, but every end of the month between the 28th to the 30th(depending how many days are in that month my computer updates the latest one, then asks me to restart, WITHOUT me clicking 'check for updates, and the updates themselves arent even important, they normally are a preview of updates, so unless its because im using windows 10 home, which according to everything i read, is awful, why are the updates deliberately installing themselves? again, im NOT talking about the 'patch tuesday' im talking about the later in the month, less important updates, honestly what really bothers me is needing to restart the computer so much.

arent there any small programs or scripts that let you disable Updates in Win10 Home edition?

then you could add the individual updates you wanted with a program like WSUS Offline or something similar

i wish, but no, the only thing i know of is to pause updates for 35 days, which i personally dont like, only because its just temporary, ill never understand why Win10 doesnt have the 'hide' option for updates like windows 7 did, you could see what they were, choose to update them or hide them and it wasnt forced, taking that feature away was absolutely a terrible idea on their end.

My apologies if my tone will fail to hide slight anger, but deliberately disabling updates isn't the smart move.

Context: in my first adult years, I made the unforgivable mistake to NOT hide from the family I had the skill to fix their computers, hardware and software. It's been haunting me ever since, I'm the free repairs guy in their eyes.
And a decent number of the times I was asked to help was linked to a parent who didn't let Windows install its updates, eventually, their OS got harmed.

I know, I know, it's not fun, there's the actual risk of having one of the updates screw up by breaking something. Not cool. Even if that's like a chance in a thousand, you don't want to risk it.
BUT. You're trading that minuscule risk with the certainty you'll miss on potentially important shit.
That's short-sighted, at the very least.

My POV: regular system backups with the option to back down to how everything was before (there's software for this, if you don't want to use the native Windows functions), and please, for Pete's sake, allow Microsoft to apply updates, the internet is better with computers kept up to date.

I think your misunderstanding me,
I have NO issue getting the updates for my computer on 'patch Tuesdays' im one of those people that gets them right away, say for example they are out at 2pm, i get them at 2pm and i restart my computer right away, i normally make sure im not doing anything that will stop or get messed up, MY ISSUE is the later in the month ones, the ones that are not security, not important yet still require a restart, they are normally issued the 4th week of the month, i did notice its usually on a friday. And again, getting the updates isnt my complaint, its just the fact that i need to restart my computer on the 29th of the month, for an update that is literally telling me that next month, ill need to get updates, they are nothing but previews' maybe yours doesnt do that? But on Windows 10 home edition, NON security, irrelevant patches come out at the end of the month that require a restart, and they are only updates that tell me, in 2 weeks, im gonna get a new update, on 'patch tuesday'. Ask yourself, does that make sense? why the restart? its a NON security patch.
