Canada's newest sweetheart, 19 year old Leylah Fernandez is one match away from winning the US Open Women's Tennis championship after taking out the number two seed in three sets last night. So far she has taken out number 2 number 3 and number 5 and herself is ranked 77th in the world ( but that ranking is about to change big time)

Btw her opponent currently playing for Britain, Emma Raducanu is also Canadian, she was born in Toronto so technically this is an all Canadian final.

Though born in Canada to Romanian parents, Emma has lived in the UK since she was 2 years old.

Referring to her as Canadian would be the same as calling British Prime Minister Boris Johnson an American (since he was born in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City).

People throw the word hero around far too casually these days but if you watch this video these are true heroes. I don't know where it came from but in the video a cat is hanging by its claws from the upper tier of Hard Rock stadium in Miami during a Miami Hurricanes football game when everything comes to a stop as everybody in attendance sees that this cat is about to fall and we're not talking a few feet here we're talking major fall but there's some guys underneath it waiting for it to fall holding a flag to catch it which they do. Check out the video quite heartwarming and frightening at the same time if you love cats. I sure hope the stadium did something for these dudes because they deserve it.. this takes its raining cats and dogs to a whole new level lol.

I can see you jumping up and down with excitement and I don't blame you. As for me I got the times wrong and by the time I realized it was on it was already over I missed the timing by 2 hours because I had a football game to be at. I agree with you as well I'm not much of a tennis fan I'm just a flag waving Canadian, I know it's hard to notice

At least my football team won so the day wasn't a total loss. I should get some sort of a trophy too for making it out of the stadium alive I was wearing my team's Jersey and they were the visiting team

Congrats to Britain and their tennis program. Between our two countries theyre going to take over the tennis world LOL
