They can't go backwards, that's for throwback SD and old school Raw shows only. They change the set they get a twatter cross boost in the rating throughout the show as more people read it's changed, tune in to see it then change the channel, so the new set is more over than all those they fired. Whereas in the past nobody would ever talk about the set so welcome to wrestling boredom in 2021.

They keep making the same matches over and over so you gotta talk about something.

Like if I told you in April that Bianca's first feud as champion is against Bayley and would go 3 PPVs with a Hell in a Cell match and THEN an I Quit match, you'd call me insane. Especially considering they had a set together during the run-up for the Rumble.

Yeah back the day you would see Champions face Challengers for a few Months and it's rare these days for them to do three in a row. Granted it's an I Quit Match so they can do so many things inside of that so I have no doubt it will be a great Match.

The booking doesn't make sense anymore. You'd have standard matches for a while, then add a stipulation or two, then blow off the feud after a few months with a cage or "loser leaves" match. That was standard booking, and kept things fresh. Now it's just stips for the sake of stips, only to pop a rating, and no ramping up to the logical end of a feud.

Then again, the WWE isn't doing so hot on creating stars, so we saw only Charlotte, Asuka, Bailey, Sasha, and Becky interacting with each other, never wanting to blow off a feud, because they inherently knew nobody else stood a chance of breaking through the glass ceiling, the "Fab 5" would have to be thrown against each other again somewhere down the line.

Hopefully Bianca and Rhea stay on top to shake up the monotony.

OK, but then why are we at like 6 Nakamura-Corbin matches and 5 Cesaro-Rollins matches since/including Mania?

Drew lost at Mania and then had 2 more PPV title shots, granted there was a tiny bit of story setup/aftermath on the last but still.

I'd almost be willing to bet that next week on Smackdown they have Sonya announce the next SD woman for the MiTB match who isn't Liv, then Liv comes out and beats them.

Going back farther, Lana got put through a table each week for 2 months.

They're leaning on the same group of people every week, maybe they're clearing PTO before going back on the road but it's still weird and dumb.

They need to end the PPVs named after matches that aren't Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank. Maybe keep Elimination Chamber too if it stays as the PPV before Mania to setup stuff for it.

But the problem with the others is they have the name so we gotta have those matches on them even if no story is ready for that type of match. I guess it's a good thing they never had a 'Last Man Standing' PPV...

I remember saying the themed PPVs like HIAC were a bad move before I even joined this forum.

I'm looking forward to when Brock and Cena show up. Weird how before it would have been the opposite. Shows how bad their product is in my eyes that I'm craving the mega stars. That might just be it you know, where is their weekly mega star? They've all left. Roman is cool but not enough for me to care. Edge doesn't have that mega star feeling.
