Normally I wouldn't be caught dead watching rhythmic gymnastics but that event where five women are on the mat at the same time with the rings and Batons passing them around is pretty cool even though it's more of a circus act than an Olympic sport. Normally as an amateur being good at a sport gets you somewhere in life in your career but in that discipline all I can see them getting is a spot on America's Got Talent LOL.

The physical abuse that gymnasts put themselves through in my eyes is completely unwarranted when you take into consideration risk-versus-reward. Unless your life aspiration is to be on a Wheaties cereal box. But I get the dedication and commitment required for their sport. Not to mention what it does to them mentally, as it does with most athletes at some point in their career. This is just my personal opinion but striving to be fourth best in the world is not something that I would subscribe to personally or be satisfied with for that matter.

Maybe we will see cake baking in the next Olympics LOL

^^^^^ I I thought that was a given LOL. Where is the fun in seeing eye-to-eye all the time.

We are only minutes away from the opening ceremonies of the Paralympics Tokyo 2020. These athletes have no quit in them and have dealt with or are dealing with so much adversity in their lives that they're overcoming to participate and this in my eyes is the true Spirit of Olympic sport. Don't kid yourself these athletes are superhuman at times and they earn everything they receive in return.

With 4400+ athletes from 167 countries, the next couple weeks will prove to be very exciting and heartwarming at the same time.

I can hardly wait to watch both men's and women's wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, swimming of course, but if you have never seen it, you are in for a treat, wheelchair rugby affectionately called murderball LOL. I honestly don't think that able-bodied athletes would stand a chance against these guys that are just savage.

But ultimately I have a special place in my heart for the wheelchair racing, vroom vroom lol.

Maybe badmouthing me and ghosting/flaming me will become a sport one day like it is on VEF and here lol.

If you happen to watch The Opening Ceremonies at some point today or maybe later and you noticed that there aren't very many athletes coming into the stadium that's one of the covid-19 protocols that each country's only allowed to have a maximum of 40 athletes represent them at the athletes parade

Below are the current Tokyo 2020 paralympic games standings. The placing goes by the number of gold medals.

Canada stands in 26th place currently but 11th overall. I don't know what they have in the water in Azerbaijan but whatever it is throw a little more in there, they are currently ranked 10th with 11 gold medals.

Canada currently has three gold medals and 18 medals in total. You can debate it all you want or spin it any way you wish, all four of the disciplines that my investment company contributed funding in exchange for promotional consideration have all medaled, granted one of them was the women's Olympic hockey team who won Gold against the USA the other day at the worlds.
