Not that I dislike Axel or R-Truth wrestling ability wise, but this is on the show, and Sandow vs Ziggler isn't? Who's bowl of Wheaties did they piss in?

Thoughts on Main Event

1.) Santino Marella, who recently defeated Antonio Cesaro while being dizzy. Sandow is his opponent, reiterating a nice line that in the valley of the stupid, the half-wit is king. All hail Santino, King of the Stupid! That's Sandow's explanation for the guy being so over. I can't disagree with him. I mean, they bought the fact that a dizzy Santino defeated a dominant Antonio Cesaro. At least in his return match, Santino's dizziness subsided, and he beat Cesaro. This past RAW? No, just no. Commentary brought up a golden opportunity for Sandow to cash in at Money in the Bank after the Hardcore match on Battleground. Also, Sandow's booked on the Kickoff. So, will he cash in? I doubt it. The topic of Santino's "Battle Arts Academy" came up, and while I'm sure there's legit stuff to be taught there, I highly doubt that he actually teaches the Cobra. That's what Alex Riley claims he does. Alex Riley claimed that Santino's harder to figure out than iOS7. I had to google that, I know it's an Apple mobile phoneoperating system, but it seems that reference is accurate. Just going by some headlines. HA! Anyways, that provoking reference aside, Santino's new tradition is to do some kind of flop. In this case, looking like the Ric Flair Flop, his head bounced off the turnbuckle multiple times, because of him. As a way to pump himself up. He turns around, flop. How embarrassing. Surprisingly, Damien Sandow won!!! Seriously, him winning is halfway to being a mark out moment, because this guy barely wins. Thinking about it though, it seems that it's just to give him momentum, heading to the Kick Off match against Ziggler. That way, so Ziggler can put Sandow back down. The match was, alright. Santino's performance is what it is, comical and stuff. Sandow didn't do much because a lot of room was given for Santino, including winding up the damn Cobra. Sandow stopped the Cobra and hit the Silencer for the win. He got the mic and said that he's the uncrowned world champion. Keep telling yourself that.

2.) They showed a bit of the HHH weekly interview. He actually makes a great point with Big Show. I mean, what the hell, Big Show? Is he the only one with a mortgage to pay? Is he the only one with a family to feed? I'll reference Kofi Kingston. That dude has a family now, and he's not whining about his financial status. Damn Big Show is such a crybaby! Hehehehehe, it does make you think though.

3.) SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK QUACK! There was a woman in black and white checker shorts doing the Million Dollar Dance. Ignore her between two dudes, it was hot. Oh my goodness. The Primetime Players take on Luke Harper and Eric Rowan. Alex Riley said Rowan and Harper are like "two towers." What's that supposed to mean, hmmm? I'll think of it as Lord of the Rings, Isengard and Barad-dûr. So with that reference, why not say that those two are like two Treebeards? The Ent that helped Merry and Pippin. Tall, beards, makes sense. That's "nerdy," so moving on, the match was short. Nothing really interesting. Are Harper and Rowan undefeated? I think so, it continued here, as a flurry by Titus in the hot tag was burned out quickly. Harper's clothesline is pretty convincing as a finisher. The exclamation point came after the match with a kiss on the chrome dome of Titus, and Sister Abigail.

4.) Zack Ryder has 1.4 million Twitter followers? Huzzah! He takes on Curtis Axel. Another pretty short match. Zack Ryder had a flurry in the middle of the match, Axel closed it thanks to his "ring awareness." Knowing where he's at in the ring and using it to his advantage. The boot forcing Ryder's head to the middle turnbuckle was a nice demonstration of ring awareness. Other than that, blah, Ryder lost, what else is new?

5.) Alright, the Fall Out Boy theme for Battleground, album title is "Save Rock N' Roll," and the cover picture is some guy next to a freaking monk. A monk! What the hell man? Is that rock n' roll? That's not rock n' roll. Where's the guitars, the amps, how about the band in a grungy looking place? Hopefully the PPV is better than that dumb song. After that little rant, there's a recap of the "Family Summit" from RAW. It was nice, the angle's part of a trickle down effect. It starts with Daniel Bryan and Randall, it trickles down to Big Show and, then descends to the Rhodes, you get the idea. It's a giant tree.

6.) Tons of Funk vs. the Soldiers of American Patriotism, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. OH MY GAWD! Antonio Cesaro did the Giant Swing to Brodus Clay, that was incredible. It was around 10 seconds, and all things considered, that's so damn impressive. I figured that would be it, and the guys just job and leave me sad in the end. Satisfy both worlds. Those who are at awe with Cesaro's strength, and then the kids who want to see Tons of Funk win. Instead, they made a successful attempt at washing away Cesaro's embarrassing loss to Santino. Not only with the Cesaro Swing, but also the Neutralizer to Tensai, causing a victory! Everything else, yeah it's there, I don't want to dwell on that, just on those two moments, and the fact Cesaro got the win. Aw man, for one segment, everything's all right in the world. That was the highlight of this show, no doubt.

Thoughts on NXT

1.) It's Mr. and Mrs. Fandango, for the first time, in a mixed tag match! I swear that I was thinking of them doing a mixed tag match when the video package played before the NXT theme song. Lo and behold, it happens. The only immediate evolution that Dango Unchained will get is if she actually wrestles with the guy. Renee Young does double duty as commentator, and interviewer. She interviews Emma on the stage, asking who is her tag team partner in this match. Santino. Oh shit. I'm down with what Alex Riley said, calling Emma his NXT crush. Santino got a massive pop from the crowd, chanting "this is awesome." Oh goodness, and you know what? Picture this, Santino Marella vs. Randall Orton, for the WWE Championship. Randall wins of course, but a good gauge of how over Santino is, would be a competitive match with Randall. I'm under the expectation that he's going to be WWE Champion. Whether it be Battleground or after. Before the wrestling began in this match, there was a crap ton of dancing and antics. The attempt at a synchronized entrance with Emma and Santino, and the attempts at entering the ring from Santino, and even the dude trying to pose on the middle turnbuckle. Then there's the dancing exchange between the two guys. It even continues during the match. Before the break, Emma makes Santino make a second cobra hand gesture, and then do her dance. With all this said, Emma's a female, fresher, alternative to Santino. Back to Fandango, Renee's commentary featured her saying Dangoberry touches her face when she tries to interview the guy. Creepo. So creepy that he wears "imperial purple" tights. Yeah man. 99% of the match was just entertainment. Hey, it's "sports entertainment," and there was very little sports. I'll let it slide because it wasn't just Santino and Fandango, as the ladies accentuated stuff, especially Emma. The most action came in the finish, and one moment before it where there was a chain of things that ended with Fandango accidentally hitting Emma on the back. The finish ended with Santino's Cobra, of course.

2.) Snakebite, Florida? That's where Luke Harper's from. He takes on Kassius Ohno. I read a report that Ohno got heat for refusing to follow suggestions of toning his physical appearance. As in, lose weight and build muscle. I suppose that makes sense, because Ohno's normal build contains a bit of chubbiness. Interestingly enough though, when he debuted in wrestling, he was 300 pounds or something. So as his career progressed, he gradually lost weight. That being said, his look here seems to be an improvement. He moved faster, he snapped of moves with more swiftness, a bit more explosiveness. Enough to return with a fresher bit of offense. Unfortunately, Harper won, and note that he had nobody to help. Bray and Rowan didn't even escort the guy ringside. He came alone, he won alone. The match overall was pretty fast paced, which is impressive considering the sizes of the two. Both being taller than the average WWE Superstar. So despite Ohno's faster offense, Harper was the guy that grounded and stopped Harper. Big clothesline for the win. Too short, but a lot of good stuff for the time period.

3.) Cool promo from Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore. Enzo talks, Cassady listens, looking down. Alrighty, then when Cassady talked, Enzo didn't shut up. The dude had to tell Enzo to shut up. It's pretty interesting. He basically made quick responses to whatever Cassady said. Most notably was when Cassady poked fun at Scott Dawson and Alexander Rusev's weight, he said they haven't been eating hard tacos or something. Amore heard that, and in the end of the promo, cut in and was all "I see what you did there." That they've been eating S.A.W.F.T, soft tacos. Pretty funny stuff overall. They were addressing Dawson and Rusev for screwing up their opportunity at the tag team championships. Speaking of those...

4.) Corey Graves and Adrian Neville vs. the Ascension. Great tag team match. It wasn't typical of the tag champs, as it wasn't Neville being hot tagged and him cleaning house. It was a bit more even between the guys. Meanwhile on the other end is the increasingly decent tag team work from the Ascension. Neville of course being the most exciting, but that didn't benefit in the long run. He missed the Red Arrow, at least what they said. He actually hit Rick Victor's legs, Conor O'Brian didn't pull the guy completely away. Graves tagged in and attempted to finish off Victor. Only to be kneed in the face. Tag team finisher from the Ascension (Conor was tagged), and that was the win. So the Ascension are the new tag team champions. Good, that means the former champs have to split, meaning more solo Neville matches. That's what's best for (NXT) business! At least they went out swinging in a nice match.

5.) The Bo Dallas Invitational! Women are screaming, men are jeering. He got the mic, saying it's Bo Time! Oh goodness, now he's growing on me with his character. It's funny, and it's unique these days. So it starts, some random, unnamed, skinny wrestler takes him on. Major cookie cutter look, actually said version of Cody Rhodes. I will admit the guy sold Bo's spear well. That's another thing, with Roman Reigns being the current King of the Spear, Bo's version of it is not too bad. Bo won, he got the mic and said he didn't break a sweat. Who is next? Leo Kruger? Antonio Cesaro? Both guys made their entrance, wanting a shot at Bo. Cesaro fooled Kruger into thinking he's the one picked, but the dude jumped him from behind. He threw the dude over the top rope, Bo kneed Cesaro over the back, sending him over the top rope. So that's done apparently, and then a guy in a mask came down. It's thought that he's El Local, but it became clear when the guy hit the charging big boot in the corner. He pinned Bo Dallas for the win, and unmasked. As I thought, it's Sami Zayn! Halfway reprisal of his El Generico gimmick. Funny and sweet close to the show. So in 2 weeks, Zayn gets a title shot against Bo.

I'm not sure. But I heard from reports that Dolph Ziggler is not the future of the WWE, he made some comments during 1 of those radio interviews that he should be the here & now instead of John Cena & Randy Orton.

haha, what a dick.

Dolph Ziggler is certainly not the future. I'd be willing to bet that I am WWE champion before he is.

Those names are interchangeable !

WWE signed some ex-Lakers and Patriots cheerleader, Leah Van Damme (Leah Vandale). She's the daughter of some former wrestler, Paul Vandale.

Shucky ducky quack quack!

This explains why El Torito was pretty athletic.

The identity of El Torito is recently signed Mexican mini wrestler Masacrita Dorada, who was signed earlier this summer by WWE.

Oh great, so he's gonna be buried to Ryder status?

Naomi and Layla are ex-cheerleaders, so this may not be a bad thing.

I don't think he'll be on the same level as Zack Ryder. The only difference between him & Dolph Ziggler is that Ryder needs a gimmick change. He hasn't done anything since WWE cancelled Z! True Long Island Story on YouTube. Ziggler was great as a heel, but he could be a pretty good babyface.
