I agree: the Mods deleted a number that it designed to be publicly accessed: not the private line of some constable/officer/trooper.

Perhaps the Staff erred on the side of caution?

Also the no social media rule is dumb when the Facebook link is for the Police Department. The no social media rule is for porn stars. But for a police department or a government agency or a business like a restaurant, movie theater, retail store and so on, it should be allowed to stay. Just about everyone have a Facebook and Twitter account and not just porn stars. Just use a big brush rule and apply it to everything.

Again, like I said, just use one rule and apply it with a broad authoritarian brush over everything instead of case by case basis. A lot of business and entities have Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and other social media accounts. It's no longer reserved to porn stars and famous actors and actresses and pretty people. The rules need to be changed and updated to go with the constant changing times and digital age. When were those rules written. When this site was open? When was that? 10 years ago? A lot have changed in the last 10 years.
