i'm in normal "map" view, but lately the EDGES of all streets have either disappeared or turned to some background-matching color. i can still get the gist of where things are b/c street names, bldg labels, bldg shapes, etc are all displaying in the right places...but w/o actual STREETS showing, some of it is definitely confusing!

what have i hit / munged / turned off to have caused this?? and how do i undo it?!

I have noticed the same thing, though usually when zooming in the street names become visible.

never saw this at ANY zoom until a week or two back.

That's odd: post the coordinates of your Google Maps search, and I'll see if the street names are visible.

Took a screenshot of the area your link went to and I couldn't see a difference from what I normally see on google maps. And I use it quite often. Don't know where to upload the screenshot any longer. But I'm wondering if maybe there has been an update in the driver for your video driver lately? Could that be the problem?

I'm using an older Dell Latitude E6430 so I wouldn't expect any driver updates. Maybe you've run into an incompatibility?

@alexora: street names are always (generally) visible. it's the street edges which are missing...resulting in grey streets on grey backgrounds.
