Webcam problems
Hi all. I'd appreciate any help you might have to offer. Got the new HP Elite webcam. Worked fine for a day. Now, if I try to capture video w/ Windows movie maker, the webcam light comes on (so I'm really quite sure the webcam is fine) but then I get an error message that the device isn't responding because it's in use by another application; also get a message that there's an error when starting the device. If I reboot, it may work or it may not. I made sure aol and msn messenger weren't running. Please help before I chuck this thing into the wall. Also, with instant messaging programs, it no longer displays anything. Thanks and regards,

Rick p.s., the hardware wizard says the "device" is working properly. I'm running XP Home. Thanks. |

maybe check to see if your drivers are correct and up to date? sometimes they release new drivers after the product to fix little bug issues (which sounds like what you have).
