Host Sites and Popups
I am one of those cheap bastards who doesn't want to pay a dime for the porn I collect. So not wanting to pay for file host memberships, I was subject to a lot of popups until I decided to fight back. Now I block popup sites in the firewalls of both my Windows OS and in my router, so far about 75 of them. While I have cut popups on my system by 95%, I have learned that the consequences of my blockage are that several hosting sites are slow to display the data I want, and a few image hosts do not display images if they can't flood your screen with ads.

Reason: revised rocommendations
PixRoute and ImageTwist are the worst offenders among image hosts. I would discourage all posters from using these images hosts, especially PixRoute, in favor of using others. ImgBox was originally in this group, but their difficulty has been corrected for now. I recommend PimpAndHost not only as the fastest and most reliable with adware blocked, but also for the ability to create zip files of image galleries. ImageBam and ImageVenue are close contenders due to their ability to create galleries that can be downloaded through a single link. Stoorage, ShareNXS, PicSee, FastPic, PostImage and Vavvi also do well producing image with my adware blocks in place. Among file hosts, RapidGator, DepositFiles and Uploaded pop up ads for their own websites, but these windows are easily closed and therefor tolerable. I prefer Uploadable, NeoDrive, FileFactory and Upstore, which do not produce popups on my side of the blockade. I do not trust UploadRocket. My Blocked Sites List appears in the next post. |

Sites I block
I have prioritized sites I block in this alphabetized list.txt. Sites with a double exlamation mark (!!) are essential to
block, as they must be forced closed by Task Manager, which will also close all tabs in Internet Explorer [I don't know about FireFox or Chrome]. Those sites marked ! or + preload ads to pop up, except for LiveJasmin, which I am finding difficult to shut out. Any helpwith that would be greatly appreciated.
