PC Gamepad suggestions...
After Christmas, I'm probably going to buy the Hitman: Absolution PC game I wanted,
and with that...does anyone have any good suggestions for what kind I should get..? I would like a PS2/3 style controller with no dead zones in the stick movement, (I snipe a lot. ) reasonably long USB cord /don't need wireless and something on the low end in price. I don't want to pay more for the pad than the game. I looked on amazon and about everyone I found had... 50% positive reviews: "Man, this is the greatest pad ever!!!" 50% negative reviews: "This is so bad Hitler must have invented it!!" I'd rather have a suggestion from someone real. |

Those cheapass PS controllers you find for ~$10 probably won't last long and won't be like the real thing.
I have the Xbox 360 controller for Windows and it's pretty good. Costs $31.99.

Merry Christmas, AEK...
I see you've upgraded from your last controller. Quote:
Keep your voodoo controller away from me. My god, next you'll be asking me to buy a Mac or install Linux or something. Merry Christmas to you as well. |

Don't worry. He'll be around to post his iporn. Back to topic, I have no other suggestions for you. There are other good gamepads available but they're expensive. Merry Christmas to you too.

I use a couple controllers for my PC games (mainly retro arcade gaming), my controller of choice is the Logitech F310 Gamepad. It has dual analog sticks, a floating D-pad, 10 input buttons on the front and a couple ot control setups you can toggle between via a switch on the back. Depending on where you get it the cost should be $25-30. Ignore negative reviews on site about it because usually they're from people expecting some deal for that Maple Story game to come with it and it didn't. I've had mine for 2-3 years and it still works very well. Also works with most if not all emulators.

That one did catch my eye on Amazon but some of the reviews were brutal, and Logitech and I have a somewhat spotted history. Some products I've gotten from them were great, but a large portion was crap. I might give this one a try unless someone pops in with anything better. It's cheap enough that if it's not my thing, I can try something else down the road. Most of my PC games are point and click, but I'm not controlling 47 with a mouse & a keyboard. |

"http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Logitech_Gamepad#Logitech_Dual_Action_Gamepad" I have this one since years, I play mostly 90's arcade games, like those who make you want to throw the pad on the wall And sometimes I do It's cheap and very reliable You should buy 2 or more, because there's a lot of arcade games that are pretty fun in multi Like this one where you must rescue the US president huhu For example |
