help with mp4 files

hi,
i m new here i downloaded the following video in parts but whenever i open them the error saying that the file is damaged or corrupt pops up. Is there anyway to fix this problem???

May also pay you to read other posts in the **TUTORIAL FOR NEWBIES** thread.

Once they are joined/extracted you can use VLC media player or GOM player to play the files.

Since the files weren't packaged (rar, zip etc.) they may have got corrupt during download. Try downing them again.

i joined them with HJsplit and a file with an extention.mp4 is created with icon similar to a .rar file i played it in VLC it wont play i used rar it gives the same old error.Now what do i do

First off – I use a Mac, so things are slightly different than a Windows user.

I’ve downloaded the files and joined them with Split & Concat; the file I got was titled 9465-1-high.mp4.

Apple’s Finder gives the file size as 927.6 MB. As Finder usually gives a file size larger than it actually is I checked it with two media information apps. – MediaInfo Mac and iMediaHUD – both give a file size of 885 MB.

The file plays in QuickTime without any 3rd party codecs – QT reports the file as H.264 video track, AAC sound track.

File also plays in VLC (Mac version – naturally) version 1.1.11.

Unless you have a faulty download, I have no suggestions; hopefully someone else will have an answer.

1. Links downloaded
2. Joined with HJ Splitter
3. Opened in Windows Media Player. Video/Audio goes smoothly.
