Hum, a bluray rip cannot be burnt onto a DVD for one obvious reason: disk space.
BR is 25-50GB while a DVD is 4.5-9GB. Second reason: Format. You cannot play .m2ts files on a dvd player that knows only .vob. So, really, you should consider other alternatives like getting a media player that supports BDrips to replace your dvd player. The only other possibility is to convert the movies before burning them. But, what's the point? |

I use mencoder, ffmpeg, and dvdstyler. All of these are free and available in Windows, Linux, and Mac. Between mencoder and ffmpeg, you can convert anything to an ntsc or pal mpg sized correctly for a standard dvd. I use dvdstyler to create the dvd menus and create the iso. Mencoder and ffmpeg are command line. If you want some examples on how to use them, let me know or google their names. There are plenty of examples out there showing exactly what you're asking for.

I'm sorry, I don't understand something: what is the point of downloading a BRrip to convert it and burn to a DVD ?
Why not download a DVD-R right away? |

Under the category of stupid questions, is your system BD - HD capable, and do you have a burner that has the firmware? If yes, then just look for BD-rips and straight burn them as suggested.
If you just have DVD then Roxio, WinDVD or Nero will be must haves, if only for certain drivers. There are too many free and pay programs to list. So have a look here http://videohelp.com/tools/secti...dvd-converters and see if you really want to do this. Trust me, its involved, and messy, depending on how far into it you wanna get.
