The browser is faster than their tool? What is this then? Marketing?
Powerful uploading (up to 6 times faster than through a web browser) - Upload at line speed - Unattended batch uploads - Resume broken uploads Quote:

Maybe. Not a Premium MU member yet; verified though that for non-Premium members it's a lot faster uploading via the browser.
18 mins VS 32 mins doing the same file via their Mega Manager tool. Unacceptable. |

what your internet type is, how many people are using the tool..etc. As I said, there is about a 5kb difference for me between the two, but mostly I use the manager when I put vids on to upload when I go to bed. I refuse to use the word "unacceptable" when I'm not paying for it. When I become a premium member, if it does to me what it's doing to you... Then it's unacceptable. |

I've gotten used to the difference, since at the moment the file manager is no different from the RS file manager. Even as a premium holder. A browser that that ups twice as fast as file manager works just fine for me. Having said that, there is still a lot I don't know about MU's file manager that still needs to be found out. Hopefully in on the plus side. But the last search had I lot of confusion attached, but I'll try it again. Meantime keep adding to the thread on this.

Oh, Toto look down at the botton right hand corner of the page and you should see the upload speed in the gray bar there. It may be better for you not to do any other browsing while uploading too- depending on your connection, dial-up-DSL-satellite?

Tired with RS, I just registered as a premium user at MU.
Up to now, everything is better. I also got faster uploads with the browser but not twice as fast, about 10 % faster. But I face the same situation that Toto. After the upload I got a message saying : An error occured. Please try again. But the links are there and they work. This situation never occured while I was using the Mega Manager. The best thing for me is that not one upload failed. It is particularly important because I am under an old subscription plan with my Internet provider (who does not offer it anymore): unlimited downloads and uploads for cheap price, but in counterpart, it is slow. I get 35 Kb/s for uploads. With RS it was 25 Kb/s and it was failing almost 2 times out of 3. You can imagine that : a 100 Mb file was about 90 minutes to upload and was failing 2 times out of 3 Up-to-now it is all for the best. One thing they could do better is to give better infos on how to use the functions. We have to guess everything (it was also like this with RS). |

The problem may either have more to do with your connection or your machine. Some system maintainance, and optimizing your connection may resolve your issues here.
