i can barely read anything on most websites w/o zooming 2-3x the size. which is fine, but on certain sites this blows up a FRAME around it as well, sometimes to over half the page!

"MSN start" page is a classic example. it hovers atop news stories, but then grows to like 2/3 of the page when u try to read the latter. as a result, u have about a 2" STRIP where u can get 3-4 lines of the story at a time. what a royal PAIN it is scrolling thru a story like that!!

not just the inconvenience, but in some cases a horizontal scroll bar gets obscured, or, worse yet, the "x" for some popup ad/video. so u have to zoom OUT, take care of business/recenter things, zoom back IN, read a little more, zoom OUT, move things around again, yadda yadda.

yeah, "don't use MSN start page", i get it. but google MAPS and facebook exhibit similar behavior! basically, use zoom at your own risk.

is there some way around this? like, "zoom section" instead of whole page?

i am tempted to leave zoom 100% alone and hang an actual MAGNIFYING GLASS in front of my screen! yeah, it's that bad.

If you press Windows Key and Plus you'll get Windows Zoom, which isn't a bad system, better than paying for adaptive software.
