Tax on international credit card purchases.
Hi guys, I'm curious and maybe you can help me.
When I use my credit card to make an international (online) purchase (in a currency other than my credit card) the government charges a fee of 6.38% on the purchase amount. In the country where you live, what is the fee charged? Thank you very much! |

In the UK, have never had a tax charge using a credit card to purchase over seas or to use it overseas, but I have been charged a transaction fee by the bank for the currency exchange.

No government tax, but my bank charges me 3% of the total amount when I pay in a different currency.
