Amazon delivery peeps stealing Playstation 5
This is horrible. There is no honesty anymore.
Every Playstation 5 has a serial #. Doesn't Amazon record the serial # to the customer who is receiving it? Amazon needs to get with EBay and give them a list of serial # of all the Playstation 5 that have been reported missing by customers.Anyone trying to sell one of those Playstation 5 on EBay will have their information turn over to the Police and their EBay account frozen. |

not trying to derail, but this was the same thing going on when masks were a hot commodity. Delivery folks would know which packages were mask and keep them. Your idea is sound. I like your idea, but would it be possible? I don't buy consoles off ebay, but I'm sure folks aren't required to provide a serial number for their items. Unless they do a significant change to their selling system.

I have bought TV, DVD player, game console from Target, Best Buy, Walmart. They scan the code for the price and then scan the serial # that's printed on the box. Someone try to return something, they double check the serial #.
I bought a in dash color camera from Best Buy a year ago and never used it. Paid with credit card. Sold it to a friend. He is technically challenged and couldn't get it to work. So he called the support # and they ask him for the serial # and they ask his name and immediately they said his name does not match name of the person on record that purchased it. Couldn't give him support without me calling them to let them know I no longer own the camera. Best Buy shares customers information with manufacturers. |

Way off topic, but is that Lexi Belle in Penny's avatar?
Back on topic, I blame Sony for not releasing enough consoles and creating such high demand for them, which enables all of this thievery. |

I blame Amazon for hiring [delivery drivers] on the cheap.
No repect for the customer, no repect for the parcel, no respect for the job.

There's enough blame to go around. There are far too few consoles and financially secure people usually don't even think about stealing.
Oh and I guess Amazon could have better tracking methods, though it's probably still cheaper to just refunding and tossing a gift card at victims. |

One has to ask himself what is it about Amazon's pay and working conditions that pushes its staff to steal goods in transit...

I couldn't work in one of their warehouse the size of 10 football stadiums pulling merchandise. I hear you get a gadget that tells you what to take from the shelf and you have like 1-2 minute to get there and let the gadget know you got it. No one can walk that fast and the place has many floors and it's like a maze. If you are too slow the gadget will tell your bosses. How much is the pay for that job? Even $25-30 per hour is not worth it.
