I also wondered about this, because I've read a few things, whether they are correct or incorrect. That say it leaves you're computer more vulnerable to Malware. And since I am already vulnerable, by still using Windows 7, which no longer get's security updates? I don't need to open more "doors" to malware of any kind. I found this article, that adds more fuel to that fire. That VPNs make your computer even more vulnerable.
I don't have a VPN program. I'm only using it on both Chrome & Opera, thru the browser. The idea that everything on a VPN is encrypted, so there for makes it even more difficult for anyone to know what computer/internet provider you have. Even more difficult. May only hold water to a certain degree. Using it only thru a browser, and not the actual program. Like right now? I have the VPN turned off. It's screwed me up signing into sites with it on. Because it see's a different IP addy, and doesn't want to accept my info. http://hstoday.us/subject-matte...are%20at%20bay. |

Your risk to malware comes from how you use your computer, not the connection or connection type.

Depends on how you configure your connectivity. By default in most cases, if the VPN drops, traffic would continue over you normal network connection (ie: your normal ISP connection).
