Firstly when I downloaded a movie from a single link, I did not have sound for that movie.

My bigger question is I downloaded a movie in two parts, yet the first one will play but the second one won't, and the first one does not have sound.

Is there any way to combine the two movies or something so I have sound?

I'm using realplayer, only one I can use to play avi's

If you can tell us the file extensions we can provide a lot more help. A couple of possibilities are

1. If the file names end with the extensions .001 .002 etc then you need to use HJSplit to joint the files first. HJSplit is a free program and you can download it here

2. If you download files with the extension .rar then you need to use WinRar to combine the files. You can download a trial version of WinRar here

WinRar should still work after the 30 day trial period though you may have to put up with reminder popups.

Also Real Player is not the best. A couple you might try are

VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic both are free and can be downloaded here

VLC http://videolan.org/vlc/

Your lack of audio on the first video could be a player problem, or possibly the vid was uploaded without sound.
