That's awesome! I used to live/work on an Air Force base back in the late eighties and because of the constant windy conditions would find cash from time to time up against buildings. The most I ever came across at one time was $40. LOL one time I had just spent my last $10 at a local Circle K and stopped by the video store where I saw movie I had been waiting to see. I began lamenting that I had should have gone to the Circle K after the video store on the walk home and then suddenly $3 was rolling folded toward me on the sidewalk! Good luck for me, bad luck for the person who opened the wallet outside too carelessly. |

Somehow my cable TV network has gifted everyone with
a new channel , its called "Dizi Channel". Coool ! I thought it had to do with "Disney cartoons", but its actually about Turkish soap-opera-romances and some of their tv series. LOL I am not too fond of that type of TV stuff. I don´t understand Turkish language, but everything has written translation here in our TVs in the Iberian Peninsula, which is good. We get to see everyone´s culture and what people are like. I have met a couple of people from Turkey here on vacation and they are nice people. Very much like Mediterranean cultures. Their ladies are sexy !

Visited that favorite thrift store today and made a major score.

Reason: added brand name after checking shaker
First, I only worked half a shift. How that got scheduled, I don't have a clue, but what a windfall for me. Second. I went on August 28 and found nothing in the half off category I liked. However, I found three shirts that I marked in my head for "if these are half price next week and they are still here, they're mine." Third. All three of those shirts were still there. According to the websites of the original stores, I got $55 of shirts for $8. One looks completely new. The other two look like they might have been worn, maybe, but extremely good condition. There was something not clothing that I saw last Sunday, but it was not there today. Somehow not remembering what it was makes me feel like I didn't miss it. Also, I found a new rub at Aldi's, Stonemill Blackened BarBQ rub. I put it on a triple toasted. Best triple toasted I've ever had. And I invented the triple toasted. |

Due to some predictable, yet unexpected time frame wise circumstances, wife and I found ourselves out of town this weekend.

Reason: more info
She, and another family member accepted my invitation to hit some thrift stores as a distraction during our down time. Wife was along for the ride, as she really does not enjoy the thrift store experience. Other family member bought a pair of shoes for three bucks. I hit two stores without them and three more when they joined me. I got a plate, the kind that is divided into thirds that keep your food from mixing together before you're ready. I got a pair of pajama pants, or drawstring leisure pants, whatever you want to call them. They are green with elves building a snowman. Did I need them? No. Were they half off, like I prefer? No. But they were cool, and I don't live paycheck to paycheck, so I got them. I also racked up six cds. A Christmas compilation, Jessica Simpson Irresistible, Ashley Monroe (I think she won a season of the Voice), Rodney Carrington, Pam Tillis Greatest Hits, The OJays (Highly recommended by Kylie Minogue). So, plate, pajama pants, six cds, Eleven bucks. I may not live paycheck to paycheck, but I'm by no means rich, and I enjoy indulging in the thrift stores. |

These pants are SOOOOOOFT. Me: "These pants are soft. Wanna feel?" Wife: [rubs my knee] "These pants are thick; they're gonna be hot." Me: "So, my pants are hot?" Wife: [with the eyeroll] "Yeah, you're pants are hot. Good luck with that." |

I bought a XFX RX 6600 at Bestbuy for $250 with tax Bestbuy is cheaper than Microcenter and the same price as Amazon. I have never seen item at Bestbuy that has the best price. The 6600 is pretty close spec wide same at a 1660 TI the 1660 TI has 6gb of ram and the 6600 has 8gb of ram. I got the 6600 to help speed of video encoding a decent amount taking 4k dropping them to 1440p at 18500 bitrate to save space. upgraded from a MSI GTX 770.

Six cds at that thrift store today. I got some by people I've heard of, but haven't necessarily heard their music.
I got some by people I've never heard of. At three bucks for six cds, that's how I find new music. One of the cds is my neighbor's jam, so that one will be gifted. There are two flags on the play, ending sentence with a preposition, TWICE! |
