I know of no "American" file hosts. HF, theoretically has offices in Florida. Servers are anyone's guess. Try again.

Although the office seems to be located somewhere in Hong Kong it also works fine for the middle of Europe.

It's ok if you don't want to use uploaded.to anymore, but i'm just curious and maybe it can help some others to download if you can say a bit more about this pop-up problem.

With FF I don't get any pop-up messages when downloading as a free user and sometimes you get some rather high speeds. If you can manually renew your IP it's rather easy to download a lot.
But maybe your browser let's you see what url has been blocked so that you can manually allow the (uploaded) url for that special download (no changing of security levels should be needed, with FF you just click the "blocked pop-up-bar" and you see what urls have been blocked).
I just checked a link with IE6 and unfortunately it timed out, but the same link worked fine with FF a minute later

Uploaded.to seems to be up and running for the US again. Were they reliable the first time around?

They were O.K., just like they are now. I have been downloading from them for the past two days.

They do seem to cap daily downloads and I am not sure what the limit is.
But I seem to have reached it for today.

They Just lost their credit card processor. Without Credit card and paypal payments its tough to buy premiums and and its tough for them to survive.
