aw geesh, i shuda spent less time googling "passive peter" and more time googling LOGAN:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan_(film) patrick stewart is #2 billed, and, in fact, there's lot of news stories saying his character here was the "inspiration" for the picard TV series. "...basically just a rehash of his role in Logan..." so one down! (two to go) thank u all, esp wallingford. even tho i was thinking logan myself, i wouldn't have stumbled upon this without the push. X-Men! who knew?! |

Have to ask pelham - have you ever had your ears checked out medically? Your difficulties could be the result of something quite simple. I have a music teacher I used to go to every week pre Covid. A couple of years ago I noticed he was playing his guitar louder and louder all the time. One day he played my a tune he wanted me to listen to on his stereo. It was so loud I had to ask him to turn it down. He was really surprised as he though the volume was quite normal. Upshot was he went to his doctor who found he had a heavy build up of ear wax (eugghh! I know!!). The docotr syringed his ears and hey presto his hearing was back to normal.
Just a thought. |

i actually think i have perfect hearing! but the steady stream of "what was that?" moments while watching TV suggests otherwise.
based on some of the replies of wallingford and LTL, tho, i guess we're all in the same boat! old age maybe. |

Yeah. That's what my music teacher thought until he had his ears checked out.
Possibly - or maybe just a build up of wax that can easily be put right. |
