Blocked by website

A new issue I encounter, and must be a new way of websites to protect themselves.
After x failed attempts to login, the website just blocks your IP and it is game over. You are obliged to contact the site itself in order to regain access.

The site remembers the amount of failed logins, and will block you.
A click via the site itself, and you are unblocked - for the moment being.
Unblock too mamy times, and I guess that you risk to be blocked for good...

Site blocks you, and you only get a white sceen even 10 days later.
Thus no way to contact directly via the site, but you need to contact a help center.

Best way, would be to use a VPN.

But why are you being bocked?

I heard about VPN alot, but don't know what it is.

I'm not an IT person, and a regular user.

Reason for blocking: too many failed attempts to login.

VPN, just a software, locate your virtual position somewhere else, just need to change country/IP after each block, there are many free for your purpose, try extension first. ZenMate/adguardvpn

well Hegre does like to log me out quite often for what I'm paying for it ($40 ouch) but the photos push 151mp so why not. Still no more Luba

I'd suggest either Lastpass or Roboform to remember your passwords. And our cable modem is inside the house (the fiber optic Motorola one) so all I do is unplug the thing and get a new IP. Like I was banned technically from fetishgoddesses but now at least I can view it. Just can't buy anything from it. I assume he's banned my physical address. Not sure if it's by name or not. That and the guy filming those videos... I've been told by a couple of models he's slightly nice but bit of a bully when it comes to breath holding. (like yeah 5 + minutes is nuts.. ) so I'm not entirely sure I'd want anymore of his vids anyway. Not all the models feel this way about the guy but I'm for sure banned there. (I wonder why) didn't want to get DMCA'd so that went away. Wonder who tattled . Do'h.... I'm almost 45 I really don't care to do that anymore. But have nothing against others who do. Like hey that is how people find out about a site. Gee if the Music industry had killed recording off the radio from the beginning sales would never have gotten where they are now (which you can find just off youtube) Wish ya luck..

i will say from my own experience unplugging your modem does NOT change your IP address, or location, it does nothing, i use a comcast modem hardwired, meaning its plugged into my computer and wall, no wifi or router and i have several times in the past few years unplugged it for the occasional reset, things go screwy, the occasional power outage from a thunderstorm, etc, the actual ip number MAY change, but if you go on a website like 'whats my ip' the row of numbers is the same, do what i did, write down your ip address, hold onto that slip of paper, go to that website and unplug your modem, wait awhile, 5 minutes id say, plug everything back in, and re check your ip, it will NOT be different, atleast for a Xfinity modem, i dont know about other companys like verizon, im only going by what i have.

How long depends on how busy your area network is. It could be a few minutes or overnight. If your screen name means you are from Boston are then it should not take more than an hour of unplugging the modem. Unplugging the router (if separate) does nothing.

There are many ways to reset your IP.
1) Right now I am using the Tor browser and that will mask the IP. You can download it for free. But it may not work with the websites you want to access.
2) Use a VPN as was already suggested.
3) Unplug your Modem. The router doesn't matter but why not unplug that at the same time to clear the errors. The time varies from a few minutes when traffic is very high to overnight when usage is very low. I live in a resort area so we have 5% of the population in January using the same system than we do in July. July would create a quick refresh of an IP address but January could take a while.
4) Manually refreshing or requesting a new IP address is not difficult but you may have to specifically ask or search your internet supplier, since their systems are meant to track everything you do.

I also use xfinity and I have had the same IP address come back to me even after a 5 DAY power outage. The last time it changed was because of a major failure at the hub, which knocked out internet access over half the county.

as we are running out of IP 4 numbers this happens more and more but this is with fiber .. didn't know one could do it till we had a power outage and suddenly could get to the site and figured out why which is why I stated what kind it was ,. Up until that Motorola Fiber optic box which also handles phone calls (hence if the power is out to that no phones) couldn't switch. This thing is designed to be on the outside of the house. There is a consumer area and then theirs which I'm locked out of... And why would I play with it. would be nice to have the battery backup but it doesn't for now..
