does "refined entertainment = Nothing but prequels, sequels, redos ( multiple times ) stealing other countires popular shows and making American clones of them. where very little creativity is shown for 20+ years running now? Maybe close to 30 years? Music fits in this discussion as well. Computer generated garbage, dominates the scene today. Again, because no one has any creativity!

So, fortunately, we still have some hope left. As far as Hollywood movies goes, i'm only watching mainly Drama, Historycal movies and some action flicks with either Denzel Washington or Bruce Willis in them. Nothing Marvel, DC or Disney (except for the old classic cartoons that I grow up with). But, yeah. Even Italy likes to copy stuff from America. All the world is a country....all the same. This is a very typical Italian saying we always say.

I understand what you're saying, totally. I mean I guess just like my tastes in porn. Maybe it's my taste in movie, music & yeah I like movies on historical events ( some of my top movies were based on truish stories & they always fictionalize parts to make them more interesting ) and documentaries as well. I used to fall asleep during documentaries in school. Because they were mostly, totally boring then. The presentation. Not the subject. I guess that part, the presentation has continued to grow over the years. I see things as most hyper glamourised I guess. CGI and the similar type of thing with music, to me ruined it. Not made it better.
But that's the "In Thing" now a day I guess. I mean back in the day, musicians ( guitarists ) created their own "boxes" for the sound they wanted. Now I hear it's all computerized, synthesized. Even in live performances. Unlike other friends of my generation. I at least did move on, progressed. With the music I liked, as in listened to & new bands beyond the mid 80's. I can't even get those people to just listen to one damn song now. lol. But as always happened with me, when a band I liked started to try to expand on what I liked about them? And put out a new album/CD, where I pretty much only liked 1 song on an album. And their next one, stuck with that same style as well? They were DONE for me. I never brought anything ( or illegally downloaded anything ) else they did. Maybe you could suggest some newer bands, song I should give a try. I did that with my nephew, back around the end of the 90s. He gave me like 10, 15 bands he really liked. And I ended up agreeing with him on most of them. The alternative, grunge bands, I had already started branching over to on my own. Surprisingly, I listened to 2 he hadn't heard of, and he ended up liking them too. Quote:

This entire fad of designer masks meant to be re-worn are is just for show and that is what most people are doing. They are usually smearing the virus on their face that they bought the mask to block. If you want to be as safe as a doctor then do not wear a mask for more than 2 hours and if you take it off then do not put it back on without proper sterilization. Even an N-95 with the dried droplets will allow you to inhale the virus. The N-95 is only 95% efficient over 20 minutes. That means that only the wet droplets that contain them are stopping them from going through. All of the virus will go through a N-95 if they are not contained in droplets. You are right that by the time you walk out of the grocery store that your skin and clothing has far more virus on it then the tiny mask. But the bandana is really not much worse than the expensive cloth masks. You cannot have a woven cloth with narrow enough pores to stop the virus. A plastic bag and duct tape around the neck would be the only solution. There is no mask that will stop the virus. You are just lowering the odds. |

I don't consider Social Media Stars to be a real star. WTF is a You Tube Star? Same goes for Real Housewives and all other manor of garbage like the Bachelor.
To me a star is a Musician, Actor/Actress, or Sports Athlete. Lebron James is a star, so is Jennifer Lawrence, and Adele. |

Brian Robertson was the best guitarist Moterhead ever had. Too bad he only appeared on one album.

Rebounding on p0rnfreak's point about POV, I don't know how unpopular my hatred for OF-type porn is but boy do I hate it.
Dark, stupid angles, poor quality. Seriously, I get that it is empowering for performers and I appreciate that but every time I watch those videos it only underscores for me how precious it is to have *a director* that knows about lighting and camera work to make a scene look decent. |
