I happened to notice there was no general thread for the NFL in general here, so as a lifelong Giants fan (I know, don't start laughing yet

), I figured I would start one because the season kicked off tonight.

Anyone can join in, post whatever you want about any game, team, stupid call, play, whatever. Kidding is allowed, just keep it friendly.

The Packers / Bears game was pretty much what I expected tonight, really sloppy and no offense but that's to be expected considering the regulars mostly sit all preseason.

I just hope my Giants at least look a little better than that come Sunday.

I'm sorry hun but I have to disagree, some sit but they practice and have scrimmages and need to be game ready at all times. We pay big bucks for tickets so no excuses.

I wasn't impressed with either offense last night in the Packers Bears opener. Rodgers opening TD drive was the highlight and it went downhill from there. The Packers were -12 yards on offense in the 1st quarter.

Trubisky outright sucked and went 26 of 45 ...

Penalties killed both teams and they should be ashamed selling a shit product to fans!!! I guess they only have one direction to go from here.

And for those that are going to lambast me, save it. The game was crap and you know it, so do the fans that got robbed buying a ticket!!!

That said I am going to get this out of the way early. I stand by my ideals that the CFL puts out a far superior product and yes our guys are smaller because we are a throwing league. The CFL is the only football league that has the full blessing of the NFL and we work closely together grooming talent. The NFL infuses money into the CFL for player development

Okay that ends my rant lol. Let's have some fun during this latest NFL season.

One more thing about the Raiders, Antonio Brown is at the top of the team's shit list and his days may be numbered ....

Yeah The Bears Defense is SB ready, but their Offense could be the reason why they might be scrapping their way to a Playoff spot this Season. I'm a Eagles fan and I'm so hype for the Season as I look at the Roster we have, and the chances of being even better than during the SB win. It all comes down to health of course though.

Well your Eagles got their act together and pulled off a win. I guess the early boo birds had a good effect this time.

I think the only thing you have to worry about is Wentz in particular staying healthy for once.

As usual, the preseason was no indication of how well my Giants will do so far.

Same old same old......oh well.

Wentz and Goff both got new contracts that are obscene lol, both have the same agent at REP 1 Sports (my man was affiliated there before his death). Goff gets a 25 million signing bonus and 110 million of his contract is guaranteed. Nicely done.

Russell Wilson still has the biggest contract in QB history and is the highest paid player in the NFL currently.

Christian McCaffrey is the Carolina Panthers and put on a clinic earlier in a losing effort. Unfortunately Eric Weddle of the Rams was injured when he got a McCaffrey knee to the head that split him open like a stuffed pig even with his helmet on. Concussion protocol kicked it (no pun intended) and I hope for a speedy recovery.

Little late to the thread but was nice to see the Patriots take the Steelers apart with ease. Steelers are gonna have to fix their problems if they plan on a run to the playoffs. Its not like they are the Dolphins, Jets, or Browns.
