In answer to your 2 questions: The reason for few if any JAV actresses in western porn is that JAV does pay very well. Top JAV actresses can make anywhere from $5k to $10k per film. American film pays maybe $1k per scene. Maria made $300,000 a year when she was active.

In addition, the language barrier is a huge deal with most actresses. There is also still a stigma to having sex with gaijin (foreigners) in Japan even if you're a JAV actress.
