2 more matches added to Night Of Champions: On the 'Kickoff'/Pre-Show, a Tag Team Turmoil Match to determine the #1 contenders of the Tag Team Championship was added between The Usos, 3MB, Tons Of Funk, The Real Americans & The Prime Time Players. (The winners of that match faces Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins of The Shield on the main card for the titles.)

The whole big show storyline makes me whanna see orton and show and not bryan, but kinda strange booking where show doesn't have a match at the ppv, but I guess at the next ppv we will get a tripple threat match

I find these random Booker T appearances funny.

I guess all those ECW fans were right. HEYMAN IS GOD Quote:
I'm pretty sure Big Show will be involved in the finish of the match on Sunday. This would actually be perfect booking in the end if Bryan beats Orton and Big Show helps him do it, Big Show shows he is a man and Bryan gets his win. Maybe the shield lose the tag team titles as well. In one night that would be a good return for all the shit the good guys have been taking. you all know ''the formula'' is heel's in total control leading up to the event, and then the good guy gets the win at the ppv. This time the heel's have been on more control than normal, almost to the point of burying everybody else, so if Big Show punches Bryan I will be annoyed. It will be predictable Then it all goes back to John Cena. Oh Cena is definitely going to save the good guys and the rest are bit part players that couldn't get the job done. I hate Cena, fuck you Cena, die Cena. hahaha Bryan, prove Tripper wrong again. |

Late thoughts on RAW
1.) RAW immediately begins with the entrance of Edge, looking all pumped and energetic. HAHAHA! Tony Chimel introduced Edge, and there's a reason why. It's how he introduces Edge. Rusty on that of course, the "Rated R SOOOperstar!" Good times. It's a Cutting Edge segment, not MizTV. He said that HHH requested him to come to RAW, because it'd be "good for business." He mentioned a reunion, but not with Edge & Christian. Instead, Randall. Ah yeah, Rated RKO, I vividly remember laughing out loud to their DX impersonation, back when I thought all heels should be hated. Edge said that Randall has nothing interesting to say, and doesn't like how he had the Shield fight his battles for him, and being Hunter's puppet. So, he's not the guest for the Cutting Edge. Instead, someone else, Daniel Bryan! The response for Bryan was incredible, 99% of the roster could only dream to get a response like that. Daniel Bryan said there is satisfaction in the struggle, as if to say that at the end of the tunnel, he will beat Randall and be the WWE Champion. That's nice, Edge called it looking at obstacles as inspiration. He compares himself to D-Bryan a bit. The question to him was if he thinks D-Bryan can beat Randall. Yes. Shove it in the man's face and be WWE Champion? Yes. Show that he's the face of the WWE? "I hear voices in my head!" It's Randall. Back to some cheap heat for Randall, saying that Edge can only get a response like he did in a "place like Canada." More importantly, that Edge's body gave up on him at an early age. Oh yeah. Edge said Randall acts like a "different body part." A dick? Edge said he has a spine, unlike Randall. HHH's puppet, Hunter flat out sucks in picking talent (not entirely true). Edge really being the first to speak out against Hunter big time in this angle, prompting the COO to interrupt. Edge said that he can say what he wants, since he's not an employee. Edge said Hunter didn't think Edge, Jericho, Vanilla Ice wannabe John Cena. Those guys couldn't make it, according to Hunter. Interesting, I can by the Jericho one, judging by the stuff in Jericho's 2nd book. Hunter did the plugging for Haven that Edge was supposed to do, which is funny that he did so, as a heel. Hunter admitted to being proven wrong, but to Daniel Bryan, "time will tell." One guy he was right about, being a failure. Edge. Hunter said the "Rated R Superstar" was an "abject failure," and that he never drew a dime. Well, Edge, at the height of his Rated R gimmick, one of the highest RAW ratings since the Attitude Era. The live sex segment. Hunter booked Daniel Bryan vs. Dean Ambrose. Bryan gets the Big Show as the guy in his corner, not Edge, because he can't "fight like a man" anymore. The fans called HHH an "asshole." Edge said that he didn't have to "marry into his success." Oh snap, and then that Hunter's not a "dictator," he's a "dic..." Hunter cut him off. That still sounded like "dick." Hunter said Edge's neck is like a "stack of dimes," so that while he can't hurt him, he can hurt the ones he love. The Shield dragged Christian, and dropped him on the ramp. That was an awesome opening segment, mostly giving way for Edge and HHH to go at it. Something I felt for years, is that there's something about HHH talking. When he's not getting angry, and is all calm, that's where his words feel more real. Knowing his position in the company back then, even higher now, he can basically say what he wants. He'll get heat, but nothing will happen to him. An example, some time during the 2009-2010 run of DX, the guy made slanting remarks towards Miz. Basically, as someone with very little talent. I thought he was telling what he felt was the truth. In contrast, as a face, later, he didn't make any of those remarks towards Sheamus. So hearing how he talked to Edge, and the stuff he said, it sounds real. This is all a compliment by the way, no matter if one truly agrees with his opinions or not. As a heel, those remarks are more exposed. That's why he's doing a great job so far, and that he's needed this time. Starpower since Cena, and even Sheamus, is out on injury. It helps Randall too when the guy's not talking or anything. It helps Bryan to be a more popular face, and it helped Edge too, so that his appearance on RAW isn't some advertisement waste of time on Haven. So on that other end, Edge's remarks were also pretty heated, sounding very convincing. To clarify, it's not like Bryan needed to take notes on this, just sit back and relax. 2.) Edge barged into Hunter's office, Shield and Stephanie there too. Edge said he wished he was cleared, so he can target Hunter. HHH then said, you don't run your mouth on HHH's town, every town WWE is in, is Hunter's down. RAW is HHH's show. He told Edge to leave. Edge asked "What happened to you," and he left. Now Hunter is getting more angry, and that's where it feels more of storyline. Still great too. 3.) Commentary made a damn good point. They pointed out Paul Heyman not shaving, as a result of being too concerned for Night of Champions. That plays over Curtis Axel vs. Kofi Kingston. The match was shorter, therefore not as good as Smackdown. More on storyline advancement. Axel beat on Kofi in the corner relentlessly. This caused the ref to throw the match out. Heyman pulled Axel off to say that this could happen at Night of Champions. If so, Punk gets his hands on Heyman. These little things help, as there's been plenty of talking between Heyman and Punk during this feud. It's spanned over a month now. Perhaps the end is drawing near. 4.) After a cool video package on Goldust, we join backstage. Heyman was seen down, being helped up by the ref of the Axel match, and Axel himself. Apparently the floor was wet, he slipped. His knee's hurt, and Heyman said that he will use his own doctor. All one of the ringside doctors did was give the guy an ice pack to that knee. Oh I know how this is going. Back out by injury, planned. Heyman's an evil genius. 5.) A recap of the main event of RAW last week happened. After that, Bookah T talked to Big Show! Booker said that Cody got himself fired, and he said fans calling him a sellout, is just them not being in Show's big shoes. That's impossible. Booker's talk is similar to the stuff with Daniel Bryan last week. Be a company man, not a hero. When Booker talked about "pride," it made me think of Marsellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction. When he told Butch not to let pride fuck with him. Pride never helps, it only hurts. Fight through that shit. Big Show said that pride is all he has. Well, you say that, but if you act on it? Be prepared to kill a man after he took a shit, then overcome two rapists. If you can doo all of that, you'll be riding on a chopper in the end. I love Pulp Fiction! 6.) Needing to move on, oh yeah. Dolph Ziggler got the jobber's entrance. That's one big indication on him losing here. Next, his opponent is Bray Wyatt, even bigger indication. If you ever considered Ziggler being on grace, you can say that he's definitely fallen from it. I typed all of this before the actual match happened. So on the match, rather surprising that it went past a commercial break. The time allowed for Bray to show how well he moves. Ziggler a pretty fase guy, brought a good pace to the match. So it was nice, and really a nice test on Bray's ability. With Kane, it was very slow and all. He showed being able to explode when necessary. He did so in smashing himself onto Ziggler. Then he hit Sister Abigail, and it turns out that the woman is Bray's actual sister. Ahh. Ziggler loses, but at least the winner looked really good here. 7.) Another Goldust video played, showing the guy's comedic side. Most of it from the early 2000s, and the stuff with Booker T. Cool. 8.) Axel, Heyman in crutches, and his doctor, enter the ring. Heyman said he's not an advocate in socialized medicine. Therefore, he doesn't belive in the Canadian "Health Claire" System. Yeah, a little botch. Oh, Dr. Cursenbaum? HAHA! I was totally thinking that the doctor looks like a Jewish person. Heyman being one too. Heyman said he has to withdraw from the Night of Champions match. He needs proper MRIs done, in the USA. Heyman said he will go back to New York, take the proper methods, and like Edge, come back when he can. Interrupting them is DJ Maestro Maddox with Dr. Sampson. Now a year since that doctor saved Jerry Lawler's life, Maddox said that the only way to be pulled from a match is to be evaluated from a WWE doctor. Heyman doesn't seem to like this. Sampson rolls up Heyman's pant leg. JBL said that this is a family show. Seeing Heyman's leg is supposedly not PG. Heyman said, that as the son of a personal injury attorney, to Dr. Sampson, to watch it. Fans were chanting "this is awkward," and then for CM Punk. Dr. Sampson's diagnosis? Medical jargon abound, Heyman is cleared to compete. This reminds me of Punk doing that on-field sobriety test during the feud with Jericho. Same feel of being very ridiculous and awkward, same time frame to negate the earlier angle. Sometimes I get a jolt on my knee when getting up from bed or running up the stairs, skipping steps. I then have a bit of a problem walking, but it goes back to normal shortly after. Heyman probably had that. You can see so when CM Punk interrupted. The fans were excited, as he came down with the kendo stick. He's probably slept with the kendo stick for the past couple days, Lita's jealous. Punk swung the stick at the fake doctor, and Heyman ran away. Axel felt Punk's onslaught too, while Heyman...ran away. The fake doctor was alone, and got assaulted some more. Dr. Cursenbaum suffered the Curse of CM Punk and the Kendo Stick. I think this is the fastest that Heyman's ran on TV! Punk sure helped the segment, and he didn't even need to talk. Heyman's running was also impressive. 9.) 6 diva tag match. The opponents to AJ's Divas title against Aksana, Layla, and Alicia Fox. AJ's on commentary, ready for to sound off on the Total Divas. HAHAHA! AJ owned Jerry Lawler, saying that at 26, she's too old for Lawler. Lawler's week comeback was that AJ's "too ugly for her." Then AJ overshadowed that crap with saying how her words was a "call to arms," and that she's "pissed off." JBL once again said that it's a family show. AJ said that she's too busy main eventing RAW, and carrying the Divas Division, and apparently commentary questioned that. JBL specifically even annoyed me, being all over AJ's tattoo on her neck. Tattoo this, tattoo that. In general, the whole commentary booth in this match should've just shut up and let AJ talk. I paid attention to AJ's commentary, more than the match itself. It was short anyways, and the Total Divas won. Natalya and Naomi had all the ring time, with the former winning with the Sharpshooter. AJ better win, because if either of those other women is, it's only because of Total Divas. A show that wrestling fans don't watch. Brie specifically better pack a lunch. 10.) Another video on Goldust, this time showing the man's accomplishments, IC titles, tag team titles, stuff like that. Then, R-Truth and Del Rio. Bob Van Dam was on the PIP promo, looking pretty "dude"-ish. Sounded funny. The world champion won't be ADR, it will be BVD. Fans cared about this match, by chanting for JBL. Then, a "Jerry Lawler" chant. Then, fucking "Michael Cole" chant. Yeah, definitely bored. Then, a more fitting Bob Van Dam chant. Then Undertaker! After those chants over some pretty unexciting and expected action, Del Rio won with the cross armbreaker. That's it, not even a moment with Bob cutting in. Well, that was flat, the crowd made it more tolerable. It's not that the wrestling was bad, just uninteresting. Of course Del Rio won. 11.) The Kickoff will be a Tag Team Turmoil match where the winners get a tag team title shot against Rollins and Reigns at the main show. Oh shit, Zeb said that Canada's maple syrup chugging, stupid cousins to the States. Where's Jack Swagger? I guess his DUI thing stops him from crossing the border. Cesaro's witth Colter, and they get interrupted by Santino Marella! That's right, he did target September for his return. Marella's actually from Canada, his MMA training school that he recently opened up, is in Toronto. "Battle Arts" as he calls it. Yeah, Santino's legit, JBL said that he's a former Judo champion. Cesaro did a Giant Swing on Marella, that lasted over 30 seconds!!! Unbelievable, and not being dizzy in it. That stopped the fans from chanting "maple syrup." By the way, maple syrup is awesome, it goes good on any meal. Cesaro stopped the Cobra, but the guy kept kicking out of multiple big moves. Cesaro talked down on Marella, actually saying "shit," causing Santino to come back with a takedown into a pinning combination, pinfall win. Good counter, at least it's not the Cobra. Good for Santino. 12.) The Uncrowned World Champion was talking, Kingly talk a bit, until Miz's entrance came out. Sandow fired his scribe, Ignatius. Yes, so now Sandow tweets himself. "Y2J" chant during this. I think there was a "you can't wrestle" chant to Miz, while he was attacking Sandow's knee. That's wrestling. HEY! Sandow won, he rolled up Miz after Fandango's entrance distracted Miz. The fans popped for Fandango more, Fandangoing too. Miz didn't look too happy with the fans, hehehe. 13.) Pop for Renee Young! Then pop for Goldust. Is he ready for Randall? Goldust said that he's always been the screw-up of the family, while Cody's the one living the right path. He means business, and that HHH will never forget the name of...Dustin Rhodes? HHH cut in, trying to add pressure to Dustin. Hunter hopes that Goldust doesn't let his brother and the fiance, down. By the way, Cody's fiance looks hot. She used to be a ring announcer for WWE, Eden Stiles. 14.) As an aside, the "face of the WWE" term was really coined during the Cena era. I think that came about around 2008 or 2009, calling Cena that face. So later in time, that term got used on TV, specifically on the Cena vs. Batista feud in 2010. It continued, and is being exploited at its most in this current angle, labeling Randall as that. In a way, it makes sense, since Cena's out on injury. Who is on top? CM Punk or Randall. The former's on an upper-midcard feud, the latter's on the main stuff. So by that, doesn't that make Randall the face of the WWE? The fact he got the Championship while Cena's out, perhaps there's a point to the use of this phrase. My point is, thank John Cena for pretty much causing the term to be created. I think that makes sense considering Cena coming up in a place where WWE can put a face in more things than ever before. Video game covers, cups, magazines, posters, billboards, commercials DVD covers, notice Cena's always the last image on a general WWE video package, where multiple stars are in the videos. Think of the RAW intro for example, the recent Summerslam commercials. Look at Night of Champions, his celebration after beating Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 23, that's the final image on those commercials. 15.) Moving away from John Cena, it's Randall vs. Goldust. Goldust had an early flurry, causing fans to chant "you still got it." JBL's commentary here was interesting, because he seemed to talk for real. That Goldust as "Dustin Runnels" was horrible for his career. That Dusty's more known as being with Sapphire and in polka dots, than his days with the Crocketts. Cole said JBL's known Cody for his entire life. I believe that. Using JBL's talk, people definitely know Bradshaw more as the conservative millionaire than as a member of APA. They say Goldust hasn't wrestled in a WWE ring in 3 years. Actually, he made a cameo in the Royal Rumble in 2012, battling Cody Rhodes. It was short, so I guess they're right, but don't forget your history. Randall had a longer time on top, with "methodical" stuff, as Cole said. The vintage stomps, and Headlock Randall! Goldust made his comeback, including the bulldog and uppercut. Randall came back with the hangman DDT. He did Daniel Bryan's "Yes" for a bit, but took too long. His RKO countered by the Cross Rhodes. The rollups in this match were pretty convincing, each man kicking out of the other's. Randall would hit the RKO though, effectively killing a legend. Just like the old days! So Goldust loses, Cody's still unemployed, Randall got the mic. He said Goldust's dream of saving Cody's job, was shattered. Just like Bryan's dream of beating him at Night of Champions, will be shattered. Short but sweet. His face was sweet too. Great match here, yeah Goldust still has it, and Randall took what he had. 16.) Los Matadores probably had pointers from Los Conquistadores! After that vignette, Stephanie came to Dustin. He said Goldust let his brother, his father, and the fans, down. How does it feel, to be a loser? Just like Cody. Wow, what a bitch! I like it. It's not rubbing salt on the wound, it's more like rubbing breast milk on it, if you know what I mean... 17.) Mr. Numero Uno Amigo announced Bob Van Dam with rolling the R. Nice! HAHAHAHAHA! Bob Van Dam takes on The Big Guy, The Ryback. It's hilarious considering the ring gear both men wear. The Ryback said in a past interview that he used to have his singlets made by the same guy who made Bob's singlets. However, now he has a different person, and you can notice, maybe, a change in imagery. Del Rio came out on the stage, calling Ricardo a "maldito campasino." Damn peasant, I laughed when he said that. Del Rio speaks better Spanish than English, obviously. He said that fans will not chant RVD, instead, "ADR." Yeah right, they'll never chant that, but good try man. He left the stage, this match started. It was short, Bob was doing good stuff, and it ended on DQ. Why? Because The Ryback tried ramming Bob, between the legs, to the ring post. Apparently that means a DQ all of a sudden. Notice that the first time, it wasn't replayed, because Bob blocked it with his boot, selling it too late. The second time was all clean, and that got replayed. Better, and the guy hit Shell Shocked on Bob Van Dam. Perhaps this is a sign. Bob wins the world title, feuds with The Ryback. Meanwhile, Del Rio chases Ricardo, leading to an actual match. 18.) Wow! Can you believe that WWE would still use an old TV? Yeah, the boxes, not the flat screen, LCD ones that everyone has by now. I have those old TVs, in fact, one small one is in my basement. It plays DVDs! I mention this because Big Show destroyed an old television set, after Steph told him backstage not to touch The Shield, or else he's fired. So, he has to take a "special seat," same deal as Smackdown not too long ago. Maybe it's just WWE being cheap, break that, and not an LCD. The LCDs though are easier to break, and the damaged pieces don't look as scattered and and messy as an older TV box. 19.) Daniel Bryan vs. Dean Ambrose! Amongst the great, gradual pacing wrestling going on, is Big Show cheering on D-Bryan. I must admit to predicting Mark Henry coming out. Yeah, to beat on The Shield since Show can't. He's reportedly cleared to compete too. Despite that, you know it's good for business when the fans chant "this is awesome." As far as matches go, I got the feeling that this specific match was complete. If that makes any sense. You had your beginning, middle, and end. Randall and Goldust was complete too, but the rest of the matches in this show, I wouldn't say the same thing. I think by "complete," I mean the fact that the two men in the ring, were left alone. It wasn't short too, letting things simmer with the viewer and taking one on a full roller coaster ride. Randall and Goldust did that well, but Bryan and Ambrose were exceptional here. The beginning was more of a wrestling display, mostly by Daniel Bryan. The middle was split in two parts. The first part being Ambrose taking control, and the second part being Daniel Bryan's comeback. This included dodging Reigns' spear, and Rollins diving onto Bryan. The ending started with Ambrose clotheslined Bryan from the back, eventually being put in the small package. Bryan's small packages are unbreakable, and Ambrose fell victim to that. So Daniel Bryan wins, it was rather sudden, as the fans were quiet by the time the finisher was done. Then exploded when it meant the win. They probably expected a kickout, if the Randall/Goldust match indicated anything. So that ends a complete, awesome match. It's awesome when compared to the rest of the matches of the show, as this stood out the most and featured ups and downs, excitement, and solid wrestling. So you could've ended the show with Daniel Bryan with a big win. Instead, The Shield tried to play spoiler, Bryan launching Ambrose over the top rope and into Rollins and Reigns. Yeah, Bryan's still on top! 20.) Randall comes out, gets the suicide dive from Daniel Bryan. He's still on top! Then The Shield regrouped and pounced on Daniel Bryan. Big Show grabbed a chair, wanting to attack. I was still expecting Mark Henry to come out, the place going crazy, gets a nice pop for his troubles. No, the beatdown continued, Show dropped the chair and watched. HHH then ordered Show to finish the deed, after Randall hit the RKO on Bryan. Knock Bryan up. When Hunter said that he doesn't give a crap about Big Show's "moral conundrum," I was thinking of Gangs of New York. Yeah, Daniel Day-Lewis' butcher character. More PG from Hunter, and not adding "meat headed shit sack!" Anyways, Hunter and Steph left the stage, Shield were gone. That left Randall, Show, and Bryan in the ring. Randall tried to be the leader here, ordering Big Show, off mic, to knock Bryan down. Getting more angry as Show kept hesitating. Alright, Mark Henry won't come out, but Show will "accidentally" or on pupose, knock out Randall. He picked Bryan up for Show, so that's my new prediction. Show hesitated, Randall talked to Show again. Randall turned around, WHAM, knee strike to the face by Daniel Bryan. So finally, the guy ends RAW on top. Bryan's been screwed every which way but loose for weeks, until here. A major relief, that hopefully will continue on Smackdown, giving Bryan momentum heading into the big main event. So, nuts to Mark Henry returning here, Bryan got the last word in, and all is right in the world. For now... |
