The last time I went to a WWE event there was a shouting match with some drunk dude and a referee. I've seen the ref on TV a few times and kind of laugh whenever I do. I honestly felt he was unprofessional, however drunk people always bring that out of you no matter who you are. So I understood that.

Aside from that the only other thing I remember was John Cena was scheduled and promoted as being there and at the beginning of the show the announcer said (during the time Cena was in Nexus/yes it was that LONG ago) that Cena wasn't going to be allowed to be out tonight because of Wade Barrett. Which got him A LOT of heat later on that night when he replaced Cena in a world title match.

Oh and some dude challenged me to a fight because I was wearing a CM Punk t-shirt. I told him "Go buy me a new shirt to wear and everything will be fine." He went back to sipping his beer through a straw while his gf held his purse. lol

Has anyone got footage of the raw crowd fight? I couldn't find any on YT doing a search. What part of the show did it take place? When I watched, it wasn't obvious. Also why did sky sports label Raw as live? Guess no one told them.

It looked like the guy was wearing a mask, and I was thinking of the Wyatt Family. The dude therefore might've been wearing a sheep mask. The fact WWE acknowledged it indicates that it could be a work. Or them wanting to take credit rather than let a leaker get some glory. Randall sold it at first, then popped back up when he saw the guy. So maybe it was just wrestler instinct, to sell a blow from behind, and then ditch that when he saw the fan.

I don't know if it was recorded, but in one of their returns from break, you see commentary first. Behind them are fans looking at something, so the fight must've taken place during a commercial break.

When I try to get into the odyssey arena in November with my Bray Wyatt mask, I will be told they are not allowed any more. Boo.


If this was for real then I have one thing to say to WWE. Hire some better security.

We noted Wednesday morning that WWE was covering the fan attack on Randy Orton in South Africa on Tuesday, thus calling into question the legitimacy of the incident. As it turns out, the entire thing looks to have been staged.

The crazed “fan” was actually identified as local South African independent wrestler The Blacksmith. WrestleZone.com posted three eyewitness accounts that identified the wrestler.

As soon as WWE started hyping the “violent attack” on social media and dot com, it was evident it was more than an unruly fan. When legitimate incidents happen at WWE shows, the company does all they can to prevent from giving them attention.

For example, there was a legitimate fight in the crowd at Monday Night Raw in May where WWE pulled the cameras in tight and didn’t acknowledge what happened. Once live reports started coming in about the incident in South Africa, WWE posted the following on their verified Twitter account.

I know there have been legitimate attacks, but I had trouble believing this was real because the guy waited around, and had too much time, and he wasn't going all out when he 'attacked' Randy Orton. if you are mad enough to get into the ring then you are probably going to start swinging wild digs and maybe pull a knife out or something

UPDATE x 5: The following reports were sent in by fans in attendance of yesterday's house show, where a "fan" attacked Randy Orton…

From Jaco Breytenbach: I was at the Cape Town event last night. The incident with the fan and Randy Orton may be a work. The "fan" is a local wrestler called Blacksmith. He trains regularly (4- 5 days a week) at the gym where I am a manager. Adding fuel to the matter is that some people who were in attendance claim that the event security opened up a gap towards the finish of the Orton/Langston match where the "fan"/Blacksmith was able to enter the ring.

Many heels have been attacked by fans over the years. It seems to me I remember both Roddy Piper and the Iron Shiek getting stabbed in the past at the height of their villany.
