![]() Norwegian filmmaker faces up to 3 years in prison for saying men cannot be lesbians
FOX News msn.com Story by Nikolas Lanum 12/14/2022 A woman in Norway is facing up to 3 years in prison on criminal hate-speech charges after saying that a man cannot become a lesbian.* Tonje Gjevjon, a lesbian filmmaker and actress, was informed on November 17 that she was under investigation for speaking out against prominent Norwegian activist Christine Jentoft on Facebook. Jentoft is a transgender female that often refers to herself as a lesbian mother. Jentoft previously accused another woman, Christina Ellingsen, of transphobia for a similar claim. Ellingsen is also under investigation and faces three years in jail if found guilty.* The post on Gjevjon’s Facebook page under investigation read "It’s just as impossible for men to become a lesbian as it is for men to become pregnant. Men are men regardless of their sexual fetishes." She has said that she intentionally posted her Facebook message to draw attention to Norway’s hate speech laws. Gjevjon’s comments appear to be under investigation for falling under a 2020 amendment to the country’s penal code that added "gender identity and gender expression" under protected categories from hate speech. People found guilty of hate speech face a fine or up to one year in prison for private remarks, and a maximum of three years for public comments.* Women’s rights activists, including the Women’s Declaration International Norway, which Ellingsen is a representative of, have claimed that the amendment undermined free speech and expression in the country.* This is not the first time that Gjevjon has spoken out on controversial topics surrounding gender and women’s rights. Last year, Gjevjon confronted Anette Trettebergstuen, Norway’s minister of culture and reality, claiming that misconstruing gender identity and biological sex has "harmful" and "discriminatory" implications for women, especially lesbians. "Will the equality minister take action to ensure that lesbian women’s human rights are safeguarded, by making it clear that there are no lesbians with penises, that males cannot be lesbians regardless of their gender identity, and by tidying up the mess of the harmful gender policies left behind by the previous government?" Gjevjon asked.* "I do not share an understanding of reality where the only two biological sexes are to be understood as sex. Gender identity is also important," Trettebergstuen replied.* The first discrimination charge in Norway that centered on gender identity was filed in 2018. The case centered on a transgender woman who complained that she was asked not to shower in the woman’s locker room of a sports center, according to female-led news organization Reduxx.* Similar cases have cropped up across Europe, including Finland, where a religious freedom case saw tensions rise between free speech and LGBTQ advocates. In March, Finnish Member of Parliament Päivi Räsänen and Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola were acquitted of all charges in their case. Räsänen faced three charges of ethnic agitation for a 2004 pamphlet, for taking part in a discussion on a radio show in 2019, and most recently, for tweeting a picture of the Bible. In a 2019 tweet, Räsänen questioned her church’s sponsorship of an LGBTQ Pride event and linked to an Instagram post with a picture of Romans 1:24-27, which calls same-sex intercourse "shameful." Pohjola faced one count of ethnic agitation for hosting a pamphlet written by Räsänen on his church’s website similarly critical of gay men and women.* Norway is considered one of the most liberal countries in Europe for LGBTQ individuals, even allowing people to legally change their gender without the need for a medical diagnosis.* |

![]() not singling u out. this entire board is one massive plagiarism swamp.
tacking on "got it from..." is insufficient from a legal point of view. the proper procedure would be to keep excerpts to a minimum and LINK to authorized copies. the way it now stands is comparable to selling copies of war and peace under your own name with a quick parenthetical "originally by lev tolstoy". and, of course, a few posters here don't even bother with such attribution. an earlier poster missed my sarcasm when i praised him for his "great writing" -- it was perfectly obvious he had just pasted someone else's work. ----- aniwe...still wondering what the asterisks MEAN! ![]() |

![]() Researchers have found that snakes have a clitoris.
Here’s what it could mean ![]() Scientists have discovered that female snakes have a clitoris — a previously overlooked or dismissed part of their anatomy (and that of many other animals), according to a new study. “It’s quite a taboo area. Female genitalia is not an easy subject to bring up sometimes and I think people were happy saying ‘it doesn’t exist. There’s no need for snake to have one,’” said lead study author Megan Folwell, a doctoral student at the University of Adelaide in Australia. Folwell decided to investigate the female genitalia of snakes after noticing that very little research had been done on the topic. She found the organ varied among the types of snakes, taking up most of the anterior tail region in some, according to the study published Wednesday in Proceedings of the Royal Society B. “People weren’t looking, and it was hard to find. It’s not the easiest structure to see in some (snake) species,” she explained, adding that some researchers had previously confused the clitorises in snakes for scent glands. This work has definitively cleared up the question of whether the clitoris exists in snakes and also offers some context on what purpose it potentially serves, said Kurt Schwenk, professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Connecticut. Schwenk was not involved in the research... ... neither was MAX (I am not touching any snakes !) ![]() source and more about it Code:

![]() A Space Force director was investigated for wearing a chartreuse mankini around colleagues and keeping a case of sex toys in the office — and kept his job, report says
Business Insider yahoo.com Katherine Tangalakis-Lippert December 17, 2022 A Space Force head analyst kept his job after being investigated for misconduct at work — including wearing a chartreuse mankini in the office and storing sex toys at work — according to new documents released to Air Force Times. Andrew Cox, while serving as director of the Pentagon's Space Security and Defense Program, acted "like a 13-year-old boy" and created an environment unsuitable for a federal workplace, Air Force Times reported his co-workers said. His workplace antics launched a six-month investigation that substantiated reports of his misconduct and unprofessional behavior. Cox did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment. In his office, according to the report released to the Air Force Times, Cox kept a framed pair of silver, glittery hot pants and an electric green mankini that he once donned in the workplace — over his clothes — showing off to coworkers during the holiday "Bad Santa" party and displaying it more than once. "It was chartreuse green, and he brought it out into the main area," Air Force Times reported one person familiar with the matter said of Cox's revealing bathing suit, popularized by the 2006 film "Borat." "He [told us he] put it on in front of his wife and bent over and said, 'Honey, how do you like this?'" Cox also kept a "gag gift" silver case containing handcuffs, sex toys, and vaseline in the office, once presenting it to attendees during a meeting with subordinates. He also spoke about male genital piercings and oral sex in public, according to the report. "Witness testimony about Mr. Cox telling subordinates to search 'Prince Albert' on the internet, or [to] grab someone 'by the balls and squeeze,' give insight into the culture [he] fostered and encouraged," Air Force Times reported the report said. The report detailed the 2020 investigation, which — despite his behavior reportedly making employees feel "ostracized and uncomfortable" and prompting one female employee to quit — did not result in Cox's suspension or termination. In fact, Cox became the head of the Space Force's new Space Warfighting Analysis Center in April 2021, continuing to earn a six-figure salary. "Mr. Cox remains the director of the Space Warfighting Analysis Center," Air Force Times reported Air Force spokesperson Ann Stefanek said Friday. "The matter was addressed through established civilian personnel processes." Representatives for the Air Force and Space Force did not immediately respond to Insider's requests for comment. Though Cox was not terminated, he did lose out on $27,000 in bonus pay and was no longer eligible to receive a federal award with a $40,000 cash prize. A 30-day suspension was proposed, but he received a formal letter of reprimand instead. A culture of sexual harassment and violence has long been reported among military officials, even*civilian employees like Cox. Though harassing jokes and unprofessional behavior are often dismissed, one military assault expert warned the culture created by such jokes can escalate. In the workplace, Military Times reported a Navy Sexual Assault Prevention and Response coordinator said, a person may use inappropriate jokes to gauge a reaction to see how much they can get away with. "They may go from a joke here to a touch there, and they just build that over time, so when the big thing happens, they were building up to that," Military Times reported the official said. "That's why they're able to keep doing it, because then they know, 'I know she's not going to say anything. I know he's just going to laugh.'" |
