Yeah, I don't see Taker losing, but I don't really see HBK losing, either.
I just wanna clear this up. When they say HBK has to put his career on the line, do they mean it'll be a forced retirement?

This is what I heard...

HBK: His knees are really bad...needs double knee replacements. Needed them for years...but in real life he has been having $ problems...so he stuck it out for the last couple years (with HHH help).... Now it's time....So what a better way for him to take a extended break.

Remember this is WWE: I mean how many times has a wrestler lost a retirement match and then magically months...sometimes years later...wambo their back....wrestling fans have a short memory. (to the story lines anyways)

Both HBK and Taker have knee problems, and both usually take time off after Mania. Now, this is a huge match now because both men have something on the line. If HBK is, I assume, going to "retire", if that's what they mean but putting your career on the line, then people will definitely remember it. I mean, if HBK is gonna retire from the ring, then keep him as a permanent GM on Raw unless he wants to spend even more time with him family.

Yes, a lot of wrestlers who lose a retirement match come back quickly, but I dunno if HBK should, at least not right away.

If he came back quickly--supposing HBK looses it would make the match worthless. So i see it as a long extended break if HBK is to loose....

It's based on internet rumors, but I've heard that BOTH guys are taking time off after Wrestlemania ... not sure if that makes it easier or tougher to predict a winner, though.

IMHO, if someone beats Undertaker to end the WM streak, it'll be someone younger that they want to build around. Orton would make sense (if he hadn't already lost to Taker at WM) as would Cena (but I'm not sure they want either Cena or Undertaker to go heel). And Michaels isn't 'young' or someone that they're going to build around ... so I don't think he'll take it.

I haven't the chance to watch Raw or NXT yet, but have heard good things about both (NXT in particular). I did, however, watch parts of the TNA show on Thursday ... my girl Daffney was given the chance to beat down Tara. While I doubt that Daffney will get a run with the women's title, it's at least nice to see her get a push.

That's what I'm thinking. I think that IF someone does beat Taker at Mania, it should be someone young. Someone I think that is a heel and over with the crowd, but is still trying to make his mark in the business. It's gotta be someone who has the most potential, someone with both charisma and wrestling ability. Who that up-and-comer is, I have no idea. If that young up-and-comer beats Taker, it would definitely push him straight into the main event level AND be legendary.

Well, how long would you consider an extended break? A year or 2? I dunno how well it'll work out.
