You listed 4 hosts that you want to "replace" Oron, but 3 of them are already allowed, so I'm not sure what you mean by "replace"

As for removing Oron from PS, ain't gonna happen any time soon. They help pay the bills. Imagine running the servers that host PS yourself... for free! PS offers more host options than most forums. That's part of what makes this place so great!

Oron is ALLOWED here. At least they don't run this forum like others out there. No fake polls here

And if you have a post that you REALLY need another download option for, you can always post a request here...

I think he means 'replace' in the sense of that if Moron where banned, the other allowed hosts would replace it as a host.

I know, that's why so many of us are complaining: if it can't be removed from the allowed hosts list soon, maybe it will be removed later so it is our duty to complain VERY loud.

Hm, looks like being against oron has become an attitude (like in the 70s being against war, govermental institutions, nuclear weapons, parents ... always sounded like a lot of fun to me) that is widely spread among a (small group?) of special kind of users. And while they all agree more or less in their (well-founded) dislike, the majority of new posts/threads i see are posted using oron. I checked another place recently (the board with the ever growing, ridiculous number of specialized subboards) and 90% of the links on the first pages were oron.

Of course i know what kind of content and what kind of posters mostly cause this amount of posts, but i'm still unsure what the majority of downloaders think about that. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the normal downloaders would say that they don't care much about the hosters, but i guess we never get to know this.

I was thinking about this thing: isn't it part of this anti-oron-ideology that the downloaders are supposed to be a bit ignorant or simple-minded?

I think you're over thinking this one a bit, my friend.
I was just trying to bring up the fact that if they are going to screw him over
as a free user, he can pretty much expect to get the same kind of service
as a premium member as well.
Lord knows there are enough oron premium member complaint threads here.

I don't think I inferred he or oron downloaders in general were simple minded or ignorant either.
Maybe a bit over zealous to feed the coffers of a company
that does it best to screw you over from the get go.

People should not settle for anything.
